Where is the music player? I've never figured out how to even get to it...is it online or something?

Press UP on the external "4-way" button.
or press "OK"
select "Get It Now"
select "Music & Tones"
select "My Music"
If you don't have any music you will get an error message saying "player error" . All of your mp3's/.wma's go into the "my_music" folder on your microSD card. 😁

ok, so I got to that, but now how do I get the songs to show up on the player. This seems ridiculously complicated for such a simple task.

You can either use the "Sync" feature using a data cable and WMP10 (maybe WMP11) for the slow method.
Or, you could simply use a card-reader and your microSD to SD adaptor to simply Drag-and-drop the files to your "my_music" folder on the card using "windows file explorer"
Plug the card back into the phone, and Voila! songs on your vx9900 😁

OK, I understand what you are saying...Maybe it's because I connect with bluetooth but I do not have a folder that says "my music" it only says "myspunds" which apparently is not recognized by the phone.

Did you have the card formatted by the Phone first. This will create the necessary folders on your card, and you start from there. 🙂

Dang it, I formatted and it didn't change the folders at all. It still does not have a "my music" folder.

Did you Erase all data from the card with Windows first, then format it in the phone?
If you did this and no my_music folder is created. Then, please tell me what folders your MicroSD card shows. Thanks.
Jus' tryin' to help 👀

6 Folders are showing up? 🤭 👀
What are the EXACT folder names?
"SDsound" or "mysound" or is it "my_sounds"
Please be specific. You shouldn't have all those folders. The 9900 should only have 4 folders when you CORRECTLY format the Card in the PHONE. 😁

I really appreciate your help actually. I have 6 folders but only 3 are for the SD card, the other 3 are the internal folders for the phone. I am not at home so I can't check right now.

SDsounds, SDpictures, & SDvideos are the folders I have for the card.

Well. It sounds like all of them need to be erased so you can start from scratch so it works flawlessly.
Just format the card in the phone:
On your enV (vx9900) go to->
Settings and tools
-Memory
-Card Memory
Select "Options"
Chose "Format"
This should create the proper folders on the card. You should only have 4 when it's done.
Then slide the card into your card reader on your computer and verify that the folders were created. Then it's simply drag-and-drop from there. 😁

I don't actually have a card reader, I am rocking the bluetooth as my connection to my computer. Maybe that's where my issues are coming from. I will try when I get home. Thank you so much for your help Ashaneen.

I put the sd card in my camera and hooked it up to the computer and it has all the correct folders. apparently it is the bluetooth that is hindering my ability to add music.

BY THE WAY, I am at work, using the music player and it is pretty nice. I can't believe it took me so long to find it. Too bad the bluetooth connection to my comp was blocking me. Thanks again for your help.
