LG enV VX-9900

Hola,

My GF just got the enV orange and we had a quick question on the ringtones.

With my 8300 I can send mp3's via bluetooth to my phone (granted I had to download a converter for free, not sure which one) but can this be done with the enV.

If not:

A. I don't want to use Vcast
B. I don't want to send via email
C. HELP!!

I appreciate any help, this is real important to her and would score me big points!!!!

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to listen to MP3s on the LG VX-9900 through the bluetooth headset (not bluetooth enabled headphones), but a BT headset like the ANYCOM/Motorola/etc?
Is there a hack for this?

I noticed that when I'm charging my enV that it automatically comes up with a basic digital version of a large clock. I LOVE this. I use my phone as my watch, so I really wanted to be able to see the time on the phone, but the display clock is SO SMALL that it takes forever to read it. Is it possible to make the phone keep the charging display all the time? Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi, I just ordered my Env Orange and would like to know how long I will need to charge it before I use it for the first time. Will it have a partial charge already? Or is it best to charge it first? Also I downloaded a manual earlier last month that read that I should not answer or make a call while the phone is charging. Is this a valid warning and is it only for the home carger? I noticed that the car charger is stated to charge the phone while you use it.

I looked through a lot of posts and didn't see anything about this specifically.

I'm thinking about getting the LG enV as my next Verizon phone (I have new every 2 right now). The main thing I'm interested in is syncing my calendar and contacts from Outlook. I don't want to spend the $19.99 for the wireless data service, though.

Is there another way to do this easily? I know bitpim is an option...but, my past experience with the program is it's pretty cumbersome to use and difficult to keep things synced on the fly. Maybe it's better with this phone?

I've noticed a strange problem. Whenever I'm txting, and I type in a close quotation (I hit the Sym and K key), it shows a "s instead of just " Does anyone know why it is adding the letter s? I can't figure that out. Is anyone else having the problem?

Also, does anyone notice that the phone takes longer to load or end applications like Mobile Email (or even just power on/off)?
When the phone was new, it used to be really fast. But now, it takes quite some more time (still just a few seconds total though) to either power on, power off, or connect or disconnect to applications like Mobile Email.

The last update for the VX9900 allowed it to utilize the MicroSDHC 4GB cards that were new at the time. Over the last week or two, Sandisk released an 8GB MicroSDHC card.

As far as I can tell they both work the same way under some SDA 2.00 specifications or whatnot... of which I know nothing about. The point is that they apparently work they same way, but one card has twice as much memory density as the other.

I've looked around the web and found one website claiming the EnV can use a 8GB card.

I have had my enV for almost a year now and i love it except for one thing. When i type messages on the qwerty keyboard it is like i type to fast and the phone just doesn't pick up the letters i type. It didn't do this when i first got the phone. Has anyone else had this problem?

I sent a text message to 2 different people. In my sent folder, next to the message I sent, there's a white "I" in a red box, instead of the usual green check mark in a white box.

When I opened the message, under person #1's name it says "message delivered...etc" but under person #2's name it doesn't say this.

I'm assuming that #2 did not receive my text. But what does the "I" mean? I've never seen it before. If #2 didn't get my message, wouldn't I have gotten a text back to me saying that the message didn't go through?

What is "I"?

Anyone know of a 3rd party app to improve Calendar and Contacts?

Using Wireless Sync for Calendar and Contacts BUT Calendar doesn't give reminders and Contacts show less than Outlook.

I've connected my Bluetooth headset, but unlike many people, I only use it in the car which means that I don't often have it turned on. What I'm finding is that it won't connect when I have an incoming call unless I turn the headset on and manually connect it to the phone BEFORE the call comes in. That's a massive pain in the ass. Is there a better way to make this happen automatically?

Does anyone know if you can sync the calander with your PC using Bluetooth? Thank you!

When I try to it says I need the latest adobe flash player, whose website on the mobile phone is unresponsive.
Can anyone help me out?

I noticed that some Env owners have had trouble with thier phones from day one like the phone freezing up or the orange paint peeling. While others have had no problems at all. Is there anything I can do to make sure that the orange Env I eventually get will be in good working order? I'm looking at getting one in December unless I see a good deal before then.

👀 I hate to sound like an old fogie, but I really miss on thing that the 9800 had, and the 9900 doesnt: the business card reader.

I used that baby like every day, but the 9800 was huge.

I wish they would come out with another verizon phone with that technology. Does anyone know any other carriers that carry up-to-date phones that utilize that feature?

I have a question.

I have a SD memory card installed in my EnV 9900 phone. When I Select "Get It Now, Music and Tones, My Music" I get the message "Player Error". This only happens when I select it using the front keypad.

Is this normal? When I select "My Music" when the phone is open, I get the screen that has music library and allows selection by genre, artists, albums, etc).
