Painful, after 1 month of usage

OVERALL: After 1 month of usage, I'm disappointed with the 700W. I don't do *any* multimedia with it. I have no extra apps installed on it other than Resco File Viewer and that Cubis game that's included with the install CD. Although I have a 2 GB SD card, and only have maybe 10 pictures stored on it, from the built-in camera. I'm a "Windows convergence" supporter, but the Windows Mobile 5.0 platform, which is the selling point of this device, is also its con. Many button presses are unpredictably laggy or slow. Many times already, the phone won't "wake up" from sleeping, or "unlock" after multiple button press attempts to do so! I wonder if it's queueing my requests to "unlock". As an understatement, I'm averaging at least 1 occurrence per day of "whipping out stylus, removing battery cover, pressing reset button" due to my frustrations. And this is after allowing up to 5 minutes for the phone to respond... Again, none of this involves highly intensive application multitasking or multimedia. All I do w/ this phone is: EVDO, MSIE, Outlook (but no emails at all), Phone, Text Messaging, & sometimes Camera and Cubis. Just basic, rudimentary operations you'd expect to be a no-brainer from 600 or 650 experiences.

AS A PHONE: Many calls don't ring through to me- and I only know due to the subsequent "missed calls" or "voicemail" notifications. I'm stumped why "hanging up a call" is a seemingly intensive process that takes seconds to complete. Complex processing sometimes occurs for "dialing" as well.

AS A "MODEM": The only unfailing feature of this phone is the EVDO support and transfer rates. Kudos.

CAMERA: The camera app takes a few seconds to load. Picture quality is adequate, meets expectations. I didn't buy this for the camera, though.

RECOMMENDATION? There are some rumors floatin of a Palm / Garnet version of the 700 coming out. If this is true, I'd wait for it-- and see if the Verizon network is forgiving enough to allow its usage.

Verizon Palm Tro 700W Blue tooth Failed to pair with ACURA TL 2006

Acura site is still testing the phone. So I went to test the phone in new 2006 model acura TL. The phone DOES NOT PAIR. Its easy to look for a different phone than changing the car. Do not get this phone if blue tooth is important. Verizon doesn't have a phone that
1. can link with Acura successfully
2. that which is a phone, i.e. must have a single hand operatable number pad
3. Have a web browsing & qwerty keyboard for emails etc.

Also tried the latest LG V 9800. Everything good there but the phone in the car does not hangup. you need to go to the cellphone to hangup. check acura site and get more details on this.
