IF - If only it worked as good as it looks and feels

With too many flaws to overcome the good looks and hype I must say this is very disappointing and defective piece of equipment. Same as a TREO 700p with all the same problems. Locking up and freezing too many times a day, unsolicited reboots, Bluetooth problems abound. Touch pad is not fully functioning and the stylus feels like it will break. Had to have tech support reset so I could get the touch screen to work correctly â try dialing a 1 and get a 3 or click on one application and another one opens instead. Tech support said to order another one but I only had this one two days and had the same problems with three 700pâs. Unable to hear caller, this happens both when you are the caller and the receiver of a call. It is like finally getting a date with the prom queen and finding out that she has an incurable STD and now you are suck with the disease as well. Palm should be ashamed of their poor quality of products. Wish I had stayed with my blackberry. My bank teller tells me that they hear about how bad TREOs are everyday from disappointed owners. My attorney has one and probably will be working on a class action soon.
Pro
Good sound quality without Bluetooth
Nice feeling to the touch
Good eye appeal
Con
All software seems to be suspect of all the problems
Some application just lock up each time you use and have to soft reboot and will always lockup the TREO
Forget being Bluetooth reliable â if you have no need of BT then it may be worth all the other issues to have a pretty smart phone that is not that smart.
May be ok for the occasional user but not recommend for hard use or for someone who really needs their phone and PDA to do as advertised
2 thumbs down

I was so excited to get this phone, and now I can't wait to get rid of it. Palm released this phone too quick. I have Sprint service because they are extremely reasonable with the pricing for their Data plan and voice service. I had the 700WX, so I know some of the problems are just Palm glitches. This phone freezes on me and resets itself almost once every day. The email also doesn't work with web-based email like hotmail. If you're used to IE, then you're not going to like Blazer either. The Blue tooth doesn't work very well and it's not compatible with alot of headsets. Make sure you're absolutely certain that you're earpiece is compatible.
Pro's
Google Maps installed on phone
easy to sync with computer
easy desktop
no antenna
keyboard easy to use
easy to change sounds
Con's
Freezes and resets quite often
Internet browser stinks
charger plug wears quickly
doesn't work well with Microsoft programs
can't look at websites with flash in it
If you're using Sprint, hope you don't need any service from them. Their customer service is terrible. It took me 12 hours on the phone to get an upgrade from the 700WX. Make sure you take the insurance for the phone as well. I was getting it replaced and had 2 visits to the store already. They can't even program the replacement phone.
I see alot of good reviews of this phone, so I may very well be one of the unlucky ones. Check other phones before buying this one.

*BUY REPLACEMENT INSURANCE FROM YOUR CARRIER IF YOU BUY THIS SMARTPHONE*
I agree with the good reviews on the 755, but I feel that I need let you know that the dreaded 650 failed headset plug issue does exist with the 755p. Palm, unfortunately, has not completely corrected the problem. It has happened to me. My phone is now useless unless I use a wired headset. Bluetooth no longer works. No speakerphone. Volumecare's Headset Bypass does not fix the problem on the 755p. It's only 6 weeks old, and very gently used.
I did not buy insurance from Sprint, so I now have to either pay their retail repair dept. $35 for what I would consider a dubious job, or send it back to Palm (2 week turnaround) to employ the warranty. Not cool if you're a business traveler. Either way, the phone has a flaw that I'm sure will return with a repaired/replaced unit.
I only rated the phone 0.0 to get your attention. Get the insurance!!!
