The V60S is not worth the money that you will pay for it. When they replaced the V60i and the v60c with the V60S you can't assume it is the same phone with Speaker phone. If you are going to purchase a phone to use for 1-2 years get something nice you get what you pay for. These phones do not have an extended antenna which may be why this Tri-Mode phone picks up less signal then a Duel-Band phone. For those who just purchased this phone and it works okay take it back and get a different one you will thank yourself later!

Pros: Speaker phone is loud and clear. Ring tones are nice and loud. It is very durable and so many accessories work with this phone.
Cons: It is nothing compared to the old Star-Tac phone. Sorry Motorola but the V710 is the best Motorola phone since the Star-Tac.

I received one form my company, and the features really sucks. Our connections sometimes have a 10sec delay, which is terrible. If you are in the market to purchase the PPT phone, for personal or for your job. Please go to NEXTEL or just wait until SPRINT comes out with their PTT phones. I was so upset I changed my carrier to SPRINT who informed me they will be coming out with the model 5400 PTT.

Sooooo Much Better!! Even W/O PTT

No PTT plan selected. The phone is outstanding AS A PHONE!!

I have a great PDA, and a really good phone too!

Gets and holds signal fine, the ringers actually sound professional!

Battery life is not the best i"ve ever had, but with a car charger who cares!

The phone's speaker phone section is loud, but not too clear as you up the volume there is very noticible hissing sound due to either the speaker breaking up the sound or that the vibration of the internal parts of they keypad, etc.
This phone has pretty much of the same features as the v60i. However, the battery life is terrible. I mean really bad. I barely used it a day and its battery is already dead. Also, the battery meter on the right hand corner isn't the same as when you go into the menu; they are of different amount when you check them. Which is accurate? I don't know, but I do know that as soon as it "beeps" for low battery, you get about 3 minutes of usage time left and the battery goes dead. Also, the signal isn't that great, as I've changed back to the older v60i, I discovered how good the v60i is in signal compared to the v60p. With the v60p i would always get No Signal, whereas the v60i is always ready serve me; especially when I extend the antenna.........wow! To me nothing beats a good signal and good battery life. Think about it, it's a phone! and these are the two most imprtant thing when making a simple call. With the thin battery of the v60i I get 2 days of usage. I can only imagine if I changed to the standard battery; by the way the v60p comes with standard battery and there is no other battery larger for the v60 series phone. Even if there is, after installation, it's thickness will equal to its width. Can you imagine that? Well, for me, it's the v60i phone! Don't get the v60p or you will regret it.
Over the course of 3 weeks, I've changed from a V60P to Audiovox CDM-9500 (bad battery life as well) to my old startac, and now........v60i is here to stay!
