This phone is very basic, with an exciting screen. My friends are extremely envious of my phone, though it is not a camera phone. It is bulky and getting used to the antenna can be tricky. It is an excellent phone for people who travel often and need to obey hands free laws.
As with many Samsung phones, I have had no problems with durability. This phone has been dropped numerous times and remains in tact. This has been one of my favorite phones of many.

I hate this phone, and am currently talking to Verizon about what I can do to get rid of it. I have had it since May '06, and it's been nothing but a disappointment. People who work at the Verizon customer service center here said its the worst phone currently in their rotation. I got it with my New every 2 plan, because I dropped (on concrete on a cold night) the Kyocera I had (and loved).
I do get compliments from techie people about the pop-up screen, but that feature isn't worth the frustration this phone gives me. I miss calls altogether, drop them constantly (even my dropped phone did a better job than this). The address book is hard to use. I have to scroll back into the contacts list to dial alternative numbers for the same contact. I can't set ringtones for an entire group, and it's too hard to get to my business contacts. The keys are too close together. It keeps on telling me when I switch towers. I don't care. The screensavers are stupid. Heck, I would rather go back to the dropped phone than to keep using this one.

I have had this phone for maybe 6 months now and I still love it. It's small enough to fit into tiny handbags without hogging all the room, but the screen is big enough to display everything with great legibility.

Whenever I pop up the screen, people stop and ask what kind of phone it is - everyone wants to try it out. It's definitely a conversation starter because it's unique and you don't see every other person carrying one.

My favorite feature is the speaker phone which is perfect for a noisy spot or in the car. (The downside of the sound is that it's not quite loud enough on the regular setting, which is why I'm always setting it to speaker phone in a car.)

My only complaint two complaints are that 1.) it's extremely slow when accessing extra features like downloading ringtones, etc. And 2.) the number buttons are making their way to becoming unreadable because they're smudging off. I don't use my cell phone very often so I wouldn't expect this to be a problem on my phone, but it is. I will have to memorize my number positions before the numbers completely rub off.

Other than that, this phone is great. I recommend it to anyone who wants a small phone without all the fancy features!

Ok, I am writing this review on my brother's user. I have the SCH-n330 and it is a really cool little phone. After you get over the "pop-up screen" you start to see the bad points of the phone.

PROS...

--- Bright screen.
--- Easy to use menu.
--- Ringtones are good.
--- Size is perfect.
--- SPEAKERPHONE (although works poorly).

CONS...

--- I have had 3 of these phones.
--- Wallpapers are really bad.
--- Sound quality is horrible.
--- Buttons are to small and not spaced well.

Other than that, this phone is okay but it does not really work well. I can't hear what other people are saying and they can't hear me. It is a really cool phone, but bad bad bad sound quality.

This is only my second cell phone, and my first was so out dated, it wasnt even funny (a Nokia 5185i). I saw this one on the ALLTEL website, and I immediatly knew this was for me. It would give me something different, cool, and besides, who needs a camera? I finally got it for the GREAT deal of .99 since we had a 2 year contract. Here is my view:

PROS:
-AXCESS enabled, so I can get ringers, etc.
-Very nifty use of space (screen).
-Great compliment getter (cool, wow, etc)
-small/light, great for pockets.
-colors ok
-color screen
-unlimited phone book, it goes forever.
-easy to use

CONS:
-colors ok (ext)
-keys small
-ok reception

Over all, a wonderful 1st/second phone!

This phone is amazing. I have had no problemns with this phone whatsoever. I have recently just started at Sprint and will be opening a plan here, though I am hesitant because I love this phone so much and I don't want to give it up for another phone. The sound and reception on this phone is better than any other phone I have had. The only thing that bugs me is how the buttons are so small, but I have grown use to it. Who cares if it doesn't have a camera, the internet is slow, and it doesn't come with a lot of cool backgrounds and ringtones, it's a PHONE. It works just fine, and if you don't like the backfgrounds and ringtones then just download new ones or get a life.

Have owned this phone for about 6 months now, absolutely love it. The snap-open screen is by far the coolest feature I've had in a phone, love getting calls so I can snap it open. The keypad buttons are a tad small, that's a very minor complaint. I use a hands-free all the time and just tuck the phone in a pocket- it's so nice & small it's perfect for that. The speakerphone is decent too, though I prefer a hands-free headset. Charges up quick, a charge lasts forever, I will agree with some other reviews that the basic ringtones loaded on the phone are a bit limited. Overall love this phone, have never regretted buying it (and at $40 what a bargain!)

i've had this phone for about 5 months and while i was waiting to get it i though it was great and when i first got it i was thrilled to have it but after that i got over it fast! it doesnt work right and it gets annoying that u cant us it without the screen being up ang it vibrates SO LOUD!!!!
all in all if i were u i wouldnt get it!!!!!

Hello. I have been using this phone for about 2 months and i'd just like to say I just got done running the phone underwater will it was on and have had no problems with it. I could do everyting with it will it was under water and I have had no side effects from it being under water for about 5 mins straight. I made calls added contacts and everthing.

If you have:

Tiny fingers
Are blind
Perfect hearing
and live in a great signal area

This is a great phone.

The screen sucks, the RF sux0rs, the keys are WAY too dinky. Other than that, it's a good fone. Speaker isn't too good either.

i have owned the samsung n330 for over a month and have had no problems with it so far.

the internal antenna was tricky at first but a slight adjustment in the way you hold it makes all the difference. just dont hold it like a gorilla and you should be all set.

i've read other reviews and one concern that kept popping up was that you cannot see the time w/out having to slide up the screen. this is not true.. if you patiently hold down the volume adjust on the right hand side for a second the time will light up. rocket science i know.

this phone has great service compared to my previous LG camera phone and it is overall incredibly easy to use.

4 out of 5 because i have yet to see what a little wear and tear will do to the phone but as for now im thoroughly pleased.

I got this phone for my upgrade with Verizon six days ago. I returned it this evening.
I was really excited about this phone because I wanted to get away from the flip phone, and this seemed like a good alternative. For the last two years I've had the flip phone with the camera and all the options but I never used them, so I thought a nice simple, clean phone would be the way to go....not so!

Pro's of the phone:
-Nice design away from the clamshell.
-Color on the display is good.
-Great speakerphone.
-The ring is pretty loud.

Con's:
-Poor sound--the loudest setting while in a call isn't very loud. Impossible to hear the person on the other end when in a loud place.
-The screen will pop up with the slightest bump. If hit the right way, it will place a call with out you knowing (mine did this several times while in my handbag).
-The vibrate is very weak.
-Very few wallpaper/ring options come with it.
-Buttons are a bit on the small side, so if you have bigger hands, it may be a bit difficult to use.
-Poor reception.

This phone exceeded my expectations. I love the unique pop-up display, and the way that everything is designed. The ring tones are a bit to be desired, but what can you expect from verizon? The thing that bothers me the most is that you can't change the phone to vibrate by simply pressing 1 key like LG phones. I loved that feature on my last phone, and was a bit displeased by this. Overall, this phone is great!!! If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

*Different from any other phone
*Great color screen

Cons:
*Hard to understand at first
*Can't put it on vibrate without changing all settings. (if there's a way, I haven't found it yet)

I bought this phone about two monthes ago, and I have had no problems. It has a loud speaker which is great, and though many people say it has bad ringtones, i find that they are not all that bad, I have downloaded many ringtones of the Verizon ringtone service as well as Ringster and all of them work flawlessly, most people in my contact book have individual ringtones, and there has never been a glitch.

Cons:
the battery life is weak, if there is an extended battery pack, buy it.

i love the samsung phones, especially nifty features such as, when the screen is shut, holding the volume button makes the screen light up temporarily to show the time, its great.

Ok, let me start off saying that i've read everybody else's notes. And to me honestly this a great phone. I'm a person that is all about technology and when a new phone comes out, I GET IT. I see if i like it if i don't i send it back. Ive had this phone for a week now. Its awesome, does exactly what a phone should, ring, and call people. All feature work great, love the internal antenna, great reception, great quality, and to be quite honest probablly the smallest phone on the market... If you hole you phone up to a standard flip phone, your phone is the exact same size as the flip, but what you don't understand is that flip is closed the flip phone doubles in size when open, which this one don't. Because you can answer it without even opening it.

Pros:

* Reception
* Durability
* Sound
* Size
* No external antenna

Cons:

* Crappy pre-loaded ring tones
* When you silence your phone you
have to go in manually and adjust
your ring tone for your text/voice
message tone. With pretty much
Every other phone you silence.
Just saves time.
*Crappy pre-loaded wallpapers

I agree with others that the phone in and off itself is SHARP! People oooh and ahhh when you pop up the screen. However, that was not enough to sell me on the phone.

I don't care that it doesn't have a camera, even though it looks like it should. The internal antenna is a great idea, but the bottom line is I need to be able to make and receive calls with clarity. If you touch the antenna area the calls become choppy... and sometimes when you don't. The speaker phone is better than using the phone off speaker mode, but then everyone around you hears your conversation.

The most impressive thing is the pop-up, the speaker phone, the color and the appeal in the tactile quality. Other than that, I turned it in for a V265 which is my old Motorola with a camera (which doesn't matter to me, really).

i was getting sick of my v60s mono green screen and needed a change. i was looking at the e815 but changed my mind at the store. the phone was too damn huge and i hated the design. i doubt i'll use the camera and the bluetooth. the samsung a890 looked attractive, but no speakerphone and i need SPEAKERPHONE. i decided on picking up the n330 cuz i was way cheaper $189.99. this phone is awesome if you dont need the big guns. the pop up screen is cool, color screen, excellent speakerphone, small, and......no frickin antenna. i've been waitin years for verizon to come out with a phone with NO antenna. i've never had any problems with reception, 4 bars always. not sure what would happen if i goto other cities, but i love this phone. highly recommended if you dont need those stupid BT or camera.

I just got the phone last weekend and man its awesome. Its small, light weight and cool looking. A phone unlike any other.

PROS:
The pop up screen of course, stores 500 numbers, screens real bright, battery life span is amazing, speaker phone is loud.

CONS:
phone cuts out sometimes when your hands on the intenna, buttons are a little small, not to many preloaded wallpapers.
