Verizon Wireless is expected to launch availability of its Express Network service in several new areas on Tuesday, including Kansas City, headquarters for competitor Sprint PCS. The expansion will make Express Network available on over half over half of Verizon's wireless network. Express Network is Verizon's high-speed data service, based on the cdma2000 1xRTT standard. Sprint PCS plans to launch a similar network nationwide in a little over a month.
