Qwest Looking To Sell Wireless Unit

Qwest, which is desperate to find cash to help pay down $26 billion in debt, might sell its 14-state wireless business in pieces, according to executives familiar with the plans. Cingular, Verizon Wireless, and Alltel all might be interesting in various parts of Qwest's wireless network. Qwest might also sell some parts of its network to tower-leasing companies.
