AT&T Wireless this week quitely launched GoPhone, a new type of pre-paid wireless service. Like some other pre-paid offerings, the sevice doesn't require a contract, credit check or activation fee. Unlike other services, customers can choose a standard package of services that is automatically replenished and charged to credit or debit card after 30 days, or when the customer's balance falls below $5, whichever comes first. The service includes roaming across the U.S. and Canada and international dialing. Plans are available with optional mMode data service, charged per-kilobyte. The service is currently available with the Nokia 3590 phone.
