Dropbox Buys Mailbox
Mar 15, 2013, 12:15 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Dropbox today announced that it has acquired Mailbox for an undisclosed sum. Mailbox developed a mobile email application of the same name that recently became available. Dropbox believes adding Mailbox to its cloud-based offerings can "save millions of people a lot of pain" when it comes to handling their email and files. Dropbox is a provider of online storage, and has apps that work with most smartphone platforms. Dropbox said it hopes to offer Mailbox to as many people as possible in the near future.
