Freescale Shopping Its Cellular Chip Business

Freescale Semiconductor announced that it is looking to sell its cell phone chip business. The company is considering several different options, including an outright sale or a joint venture. It will refocus its energies on better serving the networking an automotive industries. Freescale was spun out of Motorola four years ago and then taken private by investors.
