Microsoft today officially announced details of its forthcoming My Phone service. My Phone will be a free service for all Windows Mobile 6.x phones that automatically backs up contacts, calendar, tasks, text messages, photos, video, music, and documents over the network to Microsoft servers. The content is then available from a login-only web site, and can be synced to a new phone any time the user changes or loses their phone. The service comes with 200MB of storage and will be available to consumers in the fourth quarter.
