T-Mobile Revamps Voice/Data Plans for SMBs

T-Mobile today rolled out a set of new voice and data plan options that are aimed primarily at small businesses. For a limited time, businesses can select from a series of plans that cater to their budgetary needs. The Small Business Unlimited Value Premium plan, for example, offers unlimited talk and text, and 5GB of 4G web for $44.99 per month. The Small Business 1000 Minute plan includes 5GB of 4G data, unlimited text, and 1000 voice minutes for $39.99. The Small Business Unlimited Value plan offers unlimited talk and text, but no data for $34.99 per month. Last, the Small Business 1000 Minute Value plan offers 1000 voice minutes, unlimited text, and no data for $24.99 per month. T-Mobile said all of these plans have access to cheaper global roaming rates for an additional $9.99 per line. These rates are available for up to 99 lines.

Nice way to treat non-business customers T-Mobile!!

Why is it that the lowest cost unlimited plan for consumer plans is $49.99 and includes only 2GB of high-speed data & this new unlimited "business" plan is only $44.99 and includes 5GB of high-speed data. This on top of "migration fees" (they charge each line $200 to switch & then re-start a new 2 year contract!) for existing customers to the new value plans just plain suck & show that T-Mobile just doesn't care anymore. I guess there is a reason VZW, ATT & Sprint all picked up over a million subscribers each in 2011 Q2 while T-Mobile lost 50,000 in the same time.
