Review: Palm Treo 750

I have a palm treo 750 running Mobile 6 Pro and my carrier is AT&T and I have the plan for mms and text messages but no internet on the phone. I cannot send or download mms messages. I went to the AT&T website and entered my device and did the whole manually edit the network configuration thing. when I would try to send it before, It would send me a text that said it could not send it and say that maybe I didn't have good connection(I did) and to make sure active sync was on (It was). But now that I have gone to the AT&T website and done what it says It will act like Its sending it and then after like 2 minutes I will get that text that I talked about earlier. i would like to update my palm onto windows mobile 6 but there is no link. can anyone help me?

My boss has a Palm Treo 750, and he says the touch screen has just quit working completely. This is difficult, since he is away on vacation but asked me to find out what he might be able to do to restore it. I don't have any other information.

Any tips or tricks he should try? Anyone else had that problem in the past?

Has anyone experienced wrong times received when you get a txt message? I get times that are an our earlier then the time it currently is. Also when a new text comes in it is placed anywhere in my list of messages, it could be on top or bottom. the times are crazy, if i get txt at 8AM it will show 7AM and will be placed in the middle of my messages, not on top as you would think being a new message

Treos are made by HTC. Am I a complete moron for being somewhat incredulous? Is that true? Anyone know for sure?

I feel that all the Treo 750 has over the BlackJack is WM5 Pocket PC and a touchscreen. Does that outweigh the slim form factor (and current availability) of the BlackJack?

I just purchased Palm 750. I have ! to insert wait in international numbers so I can use my calling card. It actually works, but I don't see any prompt to hit something to dial the second stream of numbers.
Does anyone have an answer?

I'm trying out a Blackjack right now for 30 days. Actually like it a lot.

But the 750 caught my eye. The only limitations I see on it (besides being twice the price of the BJ) are 240x240 screen (BJ is 320 x 240) and battery life - apparently it's really bad. It lacks a thumbwheel, but it is touchscreen. And it has the PocketPc version of WM5.0, instead of Smartphone edition. And has 850/1900/2100 WCDMA band instead of just 850/1900 on the BJ.

Blackjack is cheaper and slimmer. 320x240 screen. Battery life not great, but is it better than the Treo 750? Has Bluetooth 2.0 vs 1.2 on 750.

How is sound quality on the 750? I find sound quality and volume to be excellent on the Blackjack.

Does anyone know why AT&T has stopped selling the 750? I just downloaded the new MS software update, the phone works much better now. I was thinking about buying another one just as a backup but when I went by my local AT&T store today they told me they quit selling them?! So now I'm wondering if a new improved version of the 750 is going to be introduced soon?

Does anyone know when Verizon will be getting the Palm 750 with Windows?? I don't like the palm version, but i have been getting various answers from different stores...

I am currently I'm a T-mobile customer and I am just curious to know, if I purchase an unlocked 750v or a 750 from cingular unlocked will I still be able to use the internet and all other features and will the phone still work properly even though I'm using it on T-mobile. I've never used an unlocked PDA, if someone can help me out I would really appreciate it.

Good morning, was anyone able to access the web from an unlocked 750? I talked with T-Mobile and they were unable to help me access it. I have read a few threads from users that have confirmed that the web can be accessed, but I need some help setting it up if anyone has any info on how to do that since T-Mobile was unable to do so. It's like the perfect mix of the Treo 650 and the Motorola Q (I know that because I'm currently using both phones). I'd love to see a CDMA version of that phone.

My calendar will not save the previous months entries. It automatically deletes the previous month once I hit the first of a new month.

I just updated my WM5 to WM6 on my 750. I previously backed up all files with spb backup. When I tried to restore the files after upgrade, it trashed my installation. So then I reinstalled WM6 which was fine (without contacts) Then I unpacked my archive with Spb Backup Unpack to isolate the pim.vol and cemail.vol in the hopes that I could just drag the files back into the root directory. Doesn't work because the file format seems to be different between WM5 & WM6. There is some very techie advice out there using the MS emulator to try and read the files. I'm wondering can I revert my Palm to WM5 and then restore my contacts and then extract them differently with a pim contact utility and then reinstall WM6. Long question, thank...

Has anyone had problems with this phone ringing or vibrating? I have to to a "reset" every day to keep it ringing or vibrating. The switch on top is always on and I have it setup to ring and vibrate at all times. But it quits each day.
