V60 does not work next to other phones.
My Motorola V60, that I've had for over a year, is not working at my desk. It shows full signal strength, but does not ring, or rings, than disconnects. My co-worker sits nex to me with his LG4400 (another with a StarTac) - both get perfect reception. I went to the local Verizon store, they updated the software - no changes.
Should I ask Verizon to exchange the phone? I am willing to bear the cost of new accesories, but I am not buying a new phone or resigning my contract.
Thanks in advance for your help.

both phones above are on Verizon network. I did the *228 update, no results. This is in NYC.

call into Customer service and have Technical support check the system to make sure the registration is correct in the network.

*18 "resets" the phone in the system (Re-registers).
Must be in VERIZON DIGITAL coverage for *18 to work

With the updated software and PRL (*22😎, doesn't really do much to enhance reception or pull "more" signal in. A lot of techs use the software and PRL updates as scapegoats for everything.
Sorry to say, I am not familiar with your area.
The problems I've seen on the StarTac series is the ribbon cable that runs between the flip part gets loose, the antenna is either broke or loose and needs to be tightend, or the antenna clip (inside the phone) is broke or became unsoldered. I'm not sure if any of these apply to your situation, but it is a starting point. You will STILL get a signal if these things are wrong, but will get unusual performance, similar to what you are describing. Have the phone checked.
Hope this helps

I just went to Verizon store, and they are replacing my phone with a new one (V60c - same model) for $50. I didn't even know this was an option. I hope the new one works!!!
I don't have to renew my contract for this either.
It takes some time, but at the end they usually do the right thing.

I still say it probably was not the phone. Especially since you had signal. If you encounter the same problems call in to CS to trouble shoot the phone.
