I am really upset about the fact that verizon has no color p-touch phone out there yet i need to know if they are coming out with a color p-touch phone from motorola. I have been waiting 4 months now. If any one knows something please let me know im about to tranfer to nextel.😡
Come on over...the color 730 series is currently out with the 800 series not too far behind. You will also enjoy faster PTT connection speeds and subscriber prices that are lower than the others. 😁

I applied to nextel the only problem is that they require alot of money for deposit. Meanwhile I have 5 phones under my name with verizon and they never charged me for a deposit.Thats the only thing holding me back.
Ummm..then why did you ask?
1.) Larger VZW footprint for wireless and push to talk calling
2.) One number for push to talk and voice dialing as opposed to a separate, counter-intuitive push to talk id.
3.) Free website for adding individual contacts (Nextel's is $5/month)
4.) More default groups (a whopping 20 participants per group, 50 groups per subscriber as opposed to Nextel's default of 30 total participants)
5.) Customizable Alert tones, you can't change a Nextel one (ever been in a room of Nextel users when a PTT alert goes off? It's amusing)
Of course, while I'm sure Nextel is working on the numerous problems above, we're working on pushing out PTT talk phones. Ou...

Verizon PTT only works on the advance service network - it will not work in digital roaming, extended service or analog areas.

One number also means someone has your walkie-talkie number once they have your cell number and can bother you. The Nextel solution provides more privacy and the Nextel PTT services works independent of the cellular network. If a cell site is overloaded the walkie-talkie will still work. If the phone company, Qwest, etc, has issues with interconnect, the walkie-talkie still works. Much mor...

OK The verizon PTT works in what is called our 1x network. Pick up a nextel map and pick up a VZW PTT map and look at the coverage area's. They look very similar don't they..
Good thing bout verizon wireless PTT if your PTT doesn't work cause of you being off of our PTT network your cell phone still has a chance of working. Since we are here to provide cellular service.
1)Does nextel have that?
Probably not since nextel is a proprietary network and has few roaming partners.
You can alert anyone that has a verizon Wireless PTT phone by finding them in your phone book hitting the menu button selecting the alert function then pushing the PTT button... kinda sounds like m...
