Any opinions on the level/quality of Verizon coverage in the Pacific Northwest, especially Western and Central Oregon?

Our current carrier (Rural Cellular) is trading our area to AT&T Wireless, so this may be a good time to start thinking about switch - I'm ready for a new phone anyway.

Verizon's plans seem more expensive than ATTWS, at least for what we're looking for, but I need to do a little more research on that.
