I saw the v60s
So this morning I was at my local VZW store returning my Kyocera 2325. The woman was very nice, and asked me if I wanted to pick out a new phone instead. I told her "well I'm sure you know this, but the v60s is coming out next week, so I'll just wait and get that one" She smiled, and said "How did you know that?" 🙂 I asked her if it was smaller than the v60p, so she said "hold on a second" and went into the back and pulled out the floor model (the fake phones they have on display) and let me see it! The body of the phone is a dark grey, and the front faceplate is chrome (Which isn't my personal preference, but that can be easily replaced) It has the stub antenna like the v60p does. I'm psyched for it because it's just a phone, not a camera, not a game boy, just a basic phone. I could care less about color and cameras, I just want something with good reception & battery life, and clear sound quality. I love my Startac, but I like the 2nd display on the v60 series, and the fact that it's smaller and newer, plus the voice dialing is a nice bonus as well. And if I *don't* like it, I have the 15 day Verizon guarantee in which to return it.

It looks to be about the same size as the v60p, with a slimmer back (no bulge) as it doesn't have the PTT "stuff" inside of it, not sure of the exact dimensions, but it does look like the older v60/v60i's/etc.

what is so great about this phone? Battery life doesnt look to be that great, it is big, and it doesnt look like it has been upgraded?

It's smaller & lighter than my Startac I'm pretty sure, has speakerphone, has 2nd display. I don't *want* color or a camera, I just want a *phone* that works. It's also newer, unlike my Startac, which while it works, is a little dated.

I'm likin' it! Now if it carries a medium signal better than the Samsungs, I will be all set. Have they set a price on it yet?
