Do I have a defective phone or..?? Memory issue!

Hey all,

This isn't my first Smartphone so I have a fair understanding of how they work. I hate having programs open so I religiously close them out through the Task Manager. With Windows Mobile 6, I noticed that there is a "Free memory" indicator at the bottom of the Task Manager. Here's the problem:

I turn on my phone and check the Task Manager, it says I have about 26k bytes of free memory. After a days use of opening/closing all sorts of programs. I check the Task Manager (close all programs) and its down to about 15-20k bytes of free memory?! I turn the device off then on.. It's back to 26k bytes of free memory!

I've done a hard reset and it does the same thing. The only thing I can think of is my third-party software ins...

PDA upgrade

Alright folks. I have a moto q. I'm ready to upgrade in a week.

What PDA would you all most recommend?

Thinking about the Q9m and the 5800 so far. Some other nice PDAs have been mentioned though.

Just looking for feedback on reliability and fun factor as well.

Only thing that I do with it is use wireless sync for work email. Don't even care about syncing contacts that much. Actually, I do sync my calendar.

Thoughts?

Employee accounts and the voyager.

So we find out that we are releasing the voyager. Mouths started watering at the mere rumors of this phone. We wait and wait for it. Finally the phone releases to the public and we rush forth to the employee accounts page only to find "Due to the high demand of our iconic new devices these devices will not be released for employee accounts at this time."

WHAT THE @#&$ IS THAT!?!?!

So you're telling me you're not going to sell employees the only device that is remotely worth while on our network that isn't a pda that has to have a huge data plan attached to it that costs almost as much as my voice plan for 2 bloody phones. And the reason you aren't going to sell me this phone is because some moronic idiot in sales or marketing didn't ...

Samsung Flip Shot

I have read the reviews of this phone, and I am still torn as to how good it is. Any other user feedback would be appreciated.

Camera picture quality
Signal strength
battery life
ease and speed of user interface

Thanks in advance

Multi fru policy...how does it really work?

I've been through 3 KRZR's and VZW offered to replace the phone with a different make and model. First time I called they said it would be an LG 8700. Second time I called they said it would either be a brand new KRZR or LG 8350 and if I wanted something higher up I would pay the difference in retail price. Once the first rep told me 8700 I had my eyes on that phone so I want that one. But do I really have to pay $130 due to the difference in retail price? And does this reset my upgrade clock? I know its a new phone but it's a multi fru replacement.

Refurb phones

Does Verizon ever offer any refurb phones through their corporate stores (or any other channel)? I know that a few of the other carriers do, so I am just wondering what Verizon does with their returned/repaired units. Thanks in advance!

All of this smack talk between VZW and AT&T ... only one thing matters

Yeah, I hear all of this smack talk about net customers, total customers, cool phones, dumbed down locked CDMA devices ... but everyone forgets the most important thing in business.

The Rate of Return. Or known as ARPU (Average Revenue Per User). This should be the biggest (if not the only) factor in determining a company's success. This determines how much they profit from each customer and how well they manage their costs. I mean after all, this is a business, right? It's all about maximizing revenue and reducing costs. Efficiency, right? I mean last time I checked when I took my Economics courses.

So ... who has the better ARPU?

Have you all seen AT&T's 4th Quarter Results?!!

2.7 million Net Adds!!!! More than any other wireless customer. I'm not a big fan of the Iphone, but the true power of the Iphone is finally realized by a 2.7 million customer net add. Now, I'm absolutely sure that Verizon's kicking themselves after turning down Apple's offer of the Iphone. The Iphone single-handedly brought in more than 50% of that 2.7milli. Anyone have any ideas of how Verizon fared this past quarter?

can you use a phone not made for metropcs with metropcs?

I don't know much about how it can work but from the little that i've heard, you can use any phone with your carrier that is made to work with the same network(i.e. CDMA,GSM). If this is the case, would that mean that I could pick any phone made for either Sprint or Verizon for example unlocked to use with Metropcs? Thanks.
