Here is Rick Brome's answer again with regard to Signal Boosters
Signal Boosters- Do they Work?
All over eBay you can find people selling "Signal Boosters" those little flat stickers that you stick usually behind the battery of your phone and they supposedly allow you to be able to hold a signal better on your phone.
Perhaps a stupid question, but do these devices work? If so, can you suggest a reputable company from which to purchase a signal booster?
I know this sounds crazy, but I cannot hold a signal in my house. I just live in a dead zone. I usually have one bar of service on my StarTac and will drop a call after a few minutes if I don't go outside. But my father comes over and can chat away on his phone and hardly ever drops a call and he has one of those boosters. Do they have any effect?...

I finally killed it... eulogy for my T720c
My T720 finally died yesterday. I had been using my Timeport over the weekend, just for laughs, and when I switched it back to the 720, it powered on, the screen started acting really wierd, then it shut off, never to reawaken. New battery didn't help, but it's not a big deal. I'll ship it off to Motorola this afternoon. It's not like I don't have a pile of abandoned phones sitting on my desk anyway. There's a relatively new VX6000 in there, maybe I'll give that a whirl.
I know many of you hated that T720, but mine worked flawlessly from Day 1 until yesterday. I updated the firmware twice, and changed the front LCD cover once because I accidently smashed it on the corner of a desk. It was a good phone. I sent countless text message...

Port/phone question, from Metro to Verizon...
A co-worker at work has an Audiovox CDM-8900 currently connected to Metro-PCS and is thinking about porting over to Verizon. Since Verizon sells this phone as well, would he be able to activate it onto the Verizon network? Or is something different in the software where it would not work. Your advise and opinions please!

New plans being released?
Long time lurker, first time poster...
My awful Cellular One contract is FINALLY up this August. Will there be any VZN plan revisions coming soon? Need to share 1400-1600 minutes, would like 2 flip phones, no cameras. ONE year contract (after being burned by C1 that's all I am comfortable with). Any professional opinions? Thanks.

Is GIN my only option??
I recently purchased the Samsung a670 & love it! I'm trying to find out if there's any websites that support the VZW phone...everytime I go to a website for ringtones, they say that either they don't support VZW or the a670...
Does anyone know of any other option other than GIN?
Thanks in advance!
What happen to "FREE SPEECH" ?????????????
So it seems like if you disagree with what everyone thinks, censorship kicks in?
Since when is phonescoop and Verizon part of the cold war theology?
I am disappointed with this website and Mr. Rich A. Brome.

Its all about the phones, stupid!!!!
The other snag was the limp 'extended services network"
Bottom line The massive Verizon coverage does not matter if your are not where only the buffalo roam. Shop for the phone then the carrier. In my case the T637 fit the bill after a try with the V600. someday Verizon will realize their "flea market" phones are indeed an issue. That day will be when GSM has equal coverage....where the buffalo roam.
