Can anyone VZW Employees or Agents please tell me why when I travel to Indiana into US Cellular Territory, I solid roam? I have the VX4500, and VZW tells me it is becusae of my phone...well that is NOT true. Even when I had the 4400B, it still solid roamed in the area.

Here's my deal. I work in a classified environment where if I bring a camera phone anywhere NEAR work, I will be anally f*cked by Federal Police Officers. I CAN however bring a normal phone past the gates as long as I leave it in my car.

From stories of some of my friends, phones don't hold out too well if you leave them in an extremely hot or cold car all day. So I decided that I will just buy a nice camera phone when my contract ends this month and just leave it at home.

IF I keep my old phone (non-camera), is there a way to keep it programmed for my same cell number so that I can keep it in the car for emergencies? Or am I reaching too far here?

Is Video Messaging still going to be launched on the 25th of June?

Anyone have some information on how the billing will be if you use your VZW phone with the ON Star connection?

I can't remember when my contract for my wireless modem is up. Other than calling or going intothe store, is there a wayto tell from my bill or the their web site?

Ok, I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am going to be picking up the VX7000 as soon as it comes out and was wondering about sending pics.

I know that someone send a pic to me (I have a crappy LG TM510 with no color screen), and I got a link via a txt message where i could go to view the pic.

If you send a pic to someone with a non-camera phone that DOES have a nice color screen, will the pic show up on their phone, or will they also get a crappy URL link?

I am thinking about going with Verizon Wireless when my contract expires with T-mobile, but I am worried about something. Currently with T-mobile, I can browse "T-zones" (their internet) for an unlimited amount of time and data for only $4.99 a month, which is very nice, indeed. Now, if I go with Verizon and I use the internet alot, how bad will that eat into my minutes? I plan on getting the $39.99 plan with another line for my wife which is another $19.99 extra. And I think the internet is $4.99 also. So that would total $65 a month already! That's already more than I would prefer to pay, not to mention paying for extra minutes from web browsing too much by accident.

How do you update your phone's software? Is there a phone # you can dial or do you have to take it into a verizon store?

I recently purchased a Samsung SCH-a670 and the USB cable and data kit.

After several days of experimenting I have finally been able to get the phone to dial both the qnc and express networks. There are several problems that I have found.

I installed the USB Drivers and the QuickLink software on a laptop running Windows XP Pro.

The first problem that I experienced was that the modem was being initialized with ATS7=6010

This is an invalid value for that register and it should simply be "60". Apparently what is happening is that the InactivityTimeout value is being appended to the CallSetupFailTimer. So frustrating, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing with VZ Sales!

I called my local shop and talked to a VZ Sales Rep who happened to be in the store.

She says the 7000 (all digital) isn't coming out until 7/15, MAYBE the 710 will follow in a week or two, no news on the 9900 or the 7000a (tri-mode). Never heard of the 810 either.

If I spoke to a different sales rep somehow I think I'd get a whole other set of answers.

Just ranting - WHY CAN'T THE SALES, STORES AND CS REPS GET ON THE SAME PAGE WITH THEIR INFORMATION!!!

Not sure if my problem has to do with my phone (v60i) or verizon service itself but here goes..
sometimes when I send text messages it takes a day or 2 for them to send and vice versa it takes up to a day to receive my texts and voice mail messages. This starts to become a problem when my phone is off because missed calls don't register while the phone is off and i have no idea that people are trying to contact me and leaving messages.. any help would be appreciated.

--also i have updated my phone several times using *228.. i was told that would help the problem but it hasn't changed much.

Just wondering how long it takes to have your local VZW store upgrade the software on a v60s. The store I went to last night told me 45 minutes, which I kind of find hard to beleive. I got there at 8:45pm, waited online for the service department until 9:05, then they said the y couldn't do it because the store closes at 9:30! I said "OK well I'll wait until it's done" but they wouldn't help me out. I asked to speak to a manager, but they said it wouldn't help. This store is the VZW Store on Central Avenue in White Plains, NY. I have *NEVER* had a good service experience there, but they are the only local store to where I live unfortunately.

My wife and I just upgraded our phones. She got a LG VX6000 and I got a VX4500. I've noticed the the sound gets choppy quite often, I even lost my connection one night. I returned the 4500 and got a VX4600. It still seems a little choppy. My old phone (LG TM510) never gave me a problem. In fact, I went back to the TM510 after returning the 4500 and the sound was fine. These observations are from my home. My wife doesn't use her phone as much at home but it is choppy too.

The "D" (digital signal indicator) never lights up on either of our phones. The tech support individual that helped me activate my 4600 said I should probably take my phone to the local verizon store to have it checked. The "D" was present on my old phone.

My question is can i buy a phone at retail price and change my phone and still keep the same plan that i already have? thank you.

I'm not putting a date down because I don't trust the ones I have but I can guarentee the 7000 before July, the V710 within a week and a half, I was in a VZW store and they accidently put out accessories for it (Cases and Combo Packs). The rep told me the VX7000 is on its way so hang tight

With the launch of the LG 7000, VZW is standardizing the software that the phones use to operate. No matter what new phone you buy whether it's Moto, LG, Samsung, etc...eventually all of them will operate exactly the same way...I work at VZW and think this is AWFUL. This is like the introduction of Windows all over again. I like this forum, and I'm curious what everyone else thinks. It's not going to happen suddenly, but over time with the introduction of every new model phone starting with the 7000!

My long stable Kycera 7135 has been very reliable for over a year, but it just died. The unit freezes up even after a hard reset.

Anyone know when Verizon is going to release the Treo600?
