??? Best AT&T Phone that works good w/Ford Sync
Anyone know of the best phone to get on AT&T that works great with Ford Sync system? I prefer a regular flip style phone - not iPhone or PDA. I also need to be able to get software for the phone that syncs contacts with Outlook and tethering if possible.
I currently have a Nokia 6650 and although it pairs with Sync on my 2009 Ford Fusion, it does not transfer the address book so I cannot dial by saying someone's name. Otherwise, this has been a fantastic phone. It does tethering and syncs with Outlook with Nokia's free software.
I would appreciate a recommendation from someone who is using their phone on a Ford Sync equipped vehicle.
Thanks!

Unfortunately, looking on their website, Ford does not update their compatible phone list very often. And very few phones of any type will automatically download their phone book into the Sync system. A couple of older flip phones that they do list that will do this are the Samsung SGH-A707 Sync (if you got one of these that worked, it worked well. As far as the current line, all will work with the Bluetooth, but I have no idea which phones will aut...

Te LG phones may work fantastic with the SYNC, but of all the phones that Ford had tested, none of the LGs will download it's phonebook to the system so that you can use it like the poster wanted.

Lots of phone will work with sync, but no ATT phones that I know of will work the messaging feature. A phone must have a "message access profile" MAP, and a PBAP profile for it to work correctly. Mostly HTC and a few Motorola phones do it all.
Droid x and Droid x2 do for sure.
