On the same account or do you want it in your own name on a different bill?

If you want to separate your number off of a family plan but want to keep it on the same account and on the same bill, there is no fee. However, you will need to change the rate plan on the phone to a single line rate plan. The $9.99 family rate is only available if it is attached to a main line.

If you want to separate your number off of existing account and move it onto an account in your own name, then there is an $18 Transfer of Service fee, a credit check run in your name, and if your credit is not great, a deposit that will have to be paid.
