...
no u have to go to the 2BG of data and an EX $20 on top of the 25 for the 2gb = $45 a month.. i work at att
...
so i have to have a smartphone... why do phones like sharp fx with data tethering enable but i cant use it? 😡
...
You are with AT&T... paying $30 a month for *DATA*... and don't have a smartphone?
Either you have Texting + data on a non-smart phone... or you don't know what you have.
If you have a dumb-phone, tether might still be possible... but it's highly dependant on the phone, and not a good shot at success.

ok i know what i have.. thats not the issue... my question is why the phone with regular data plans according to this --->>>https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone .php?p=2573 the phone is able to do data tethering.. and no.. is not a smartphone... y dont pay 30 for data either... i pay 30 for TEXT AND DATA
...
Yeah... I'm not actually sure what the plan is to tether a dumb-phone...
I don't sell phones anymore and the changes to data fees on AT&T leaves me personally unsure about how tethering works now.
I'd say dial 611 from your phone and ask customer service.
...
ok.. thanks!! im going to try that.. i hope they know the info this time.. i tried before but the person didnt even know what i was talking about...
...
Just not part of *YOUR* rulebook.
I pay atleast 30 for the phone... 30 for texting and 30 for data.
**** your "company line" that I have to pay another $20 after accepting an inferior service change.
...
*IF* you Jailbreak/root/etc.
To "pay" for the "privilege" of using data you already paid for via data charges you have to accept a limited plan with AT&T.
So either you pay more for less data *AND* pay to use that data outside of your phone...
Or you take advantage of the system.
