Why AT&T is horid - personal experience

I have had great coverage (5 bars and good call quality, never great) from my house for over 6 years. For the past 21 days I do not have outbound voice on a call. I have spoken with two managers in the AT&T Customer Retention unit (this is a joke). I asked them to waive the Cancellation fees because you are failing to provide service (I read the contract and know they do not guarantee any service at all). Hate to hear that even in the store you got bad customer service. It's ususally good there. However, I am not surprised about the issue and I doubt if you called them you'd get anywhere. The customer service by phone is even worse. Got your money, got you in a contract, sorry for your luck. I will say that I have heard horror stories about EVERY carrier, but AT&T by far has had the most. I have also heard all the rhetoric about how everyone has the best _____. Truth is Verizon has some good phones and great coverage. Sprint has some good phones and great rates. If you need a big carrier, those are your best options.

So either 1 or 2 things is going on: You want out so you can get with another carrier and using the "issue" to get your desired result... Or, simply, it is an issue. If you were not getting service, the contract holds no bounds and would have been terminated at your request. But if the service issue is as large as you say... and if it was the case, many customers wo...
