They probably are just trying to clear them out of inventory. After all, both the 9700 Bold and 9800 Torch have come out since ATT carried the 9000 Bold. They are not a bad phone. It is 3G, has decent sized keys and screen and is basically bulletproof. The only weak points are the rollerball and the inability to update to Blackberry 6.0

Probably not the case. Since the 9000 came out, there has been the 9700 and 9800. There's probably a handful of them kicking around the warehouse that are taking up space, and need to move. I liked the 9000 when I had it 2+ years ago...
