1) How is content classified and blocked?
2) Do browsing restrictions and filtering apply to Androids , iPhones or Blackberries, or just the low-end browsers?
3) Do the filters have any effectiveness when connecting via Wi-Fi rather than over the cellular network?

Any insight would be appreciated.
Its really nice for restricting teenager's late night text messaging or during school hours. Also its useful for blocking CTN's of certain numbers.
But there is a free program/app called K9 Web Protection, for PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod.

I’ve installed it on some computers for people wanting to do the same thing and it works great. Everything is based on categories and you can even do time of day and so on. I have never tested it out on a phone though.
This would be a good reference page if you're looking at content filtering:

"The AT&T Content Filters feature will not filter content on iPhone. This limitation applies to all iPhone software versions."
