Premiere Discount?
My employer offers Cingular's Premiere program that supposedly provides discounts to handsets and service. Do any CSR's know if this will apply to the iPhone? Knowing how set in stone Apple's prices are I can guess that the answer is probably NO....

If your discount applies to all handsets and PDAs then it probably would. PDAs might be an exception though.

As an AT&T CSR the discount would not apply to he iphone, Iphone doesn't recieve any discounts via AT&T even if you work for apple.

I get discounts for all Apple products as well as discounts for Cingular through my employer so I would expect that eventually there will the same type of discounts for the iPhone.

And it's actually thanks to Apple, not Cingular.
The phone will not (at least initially) be available through Premier (that would be my dept. - I've verified this a buncha times already), nor Business Care, and there will be no discount available for it, per agreement with Apple.
I've asked numerous folks in the know as to whether employees will be able to buy it sans contract with 30% discount, but no definite news yet. No reason why we shouldn't be, but one never knows. . .

Thanks for the info. Granted I'll be paying full price for the handset, but what about the premiere service discount (we're supposed to get 13% off monthly). Will they hose me on that as well? That seems unfair....
