on the cingular website, after placing the mpx220 in ur basket, u can select the $24.99 ultd meida works data plan. however, if u go to a cingular retail store, they say ultd data is $39.99 for the mpx220.

Cingular has been advertising MobiTV under the "What's Hot" section of MEdia Net lately. If anyone has used the service under any of the compatiable phones, is it worth changing phones just for this live television service?

I called 5-6 times to CW care because I had a customer on thursday who was shipped her new CW phone but didn't recieve a SIM card. Someone told me to tell my Blue sales to do the re-migration, someone else told me that she has to call e-care, someone else told me to refer the cust to a store to get the SIM card, then somoene turned around and said no you can't get the SIM card like that at the store. So finally i requested one of your ResDesk reps and before I was trans the rep didn't try to resolve the call and then trans me over and the ResDesk rep says they have to release the number and re-migrate the cust through CW migration team. So I am like WOOOOOW!!!!!! I see why so many Blue cust's want to cancel and then don't want to go. CW want...

sweet. this is the answer ive been looking for. i was about to bite on the mpx220. however with all the discourse about it, i was having 2nd thoughts. in comes the 7100g. im not new to BBs so i know what to expect. good build quality and rock solid OS.

my concerns:

1.will cingular disable the HTML browser like they did with the 7290 blackberry?

2. will u still have to pay the $49.99 ultd BB data, or will they let the $24.99 ultd data plan fly under their new febuary data plans?

Has anyone else compared the speed of a so called EDGE phone to a non EDGE phone in terms of MEdia net service? I have had faster wap connections on a v220 than a v551. You can do the same test on a Treo 600 vs a 650, the 600 seems to load just as fast even though it is not EDGE. What gives? Anyone else notice the speed not being there? I think if they are going to raise the price of all these data services then the speed should better on the handsets. Thought? 😕

Does anyone know the reason why we have not gotten the Motorola a630 text messaging phone? Did T-Mobile get an exclusive like we did on the V3 for a certain period of time?

my friend and i are both cingular customers and she says she sends texts to me alot and i only get them like half the time what does this mean and is this normal? how can i fix the problem?

After being on this board a little while i think it would be a cool idea if cingular put like a forum on their website for cust service issues it would deffinatly slow calls to cust service

i just want to be able to *directly* download photos to my computer from my phone. do i need the $25 "motorola compatible" usb cable from cingular? is it possible that there is a cheaper manufacturer for the same exact cable?

and why do i need the extra "data access" feature added to my voice plan? you mean we have to pay extra just to download the photos on our phones? note that i don't want to email the photos to anyone, just move them to my computer!

and why do i have to have the cingular "connection manager" software if all i want is to connect the cable to my computer from my phone? the instructions tell me to go online and log on and use internet explorer! why do i have to go such a roundabout (costly) way? 🙄

Is EV-DO as fast as EDGE?
I mean, are the equally fast? what I'm trying to ask is: is EDGE the GSM's "EV-DO"? or is it UMTS the GSM's "EV-DO"? Can someone clarify this for me?

I have a v551 and was wondering what video format does it record in? I ask this because when i send video to a email account no one seems to be able to view my video emails. is there something i can do because its pointless having a video phone and not being able to use all the features. Would it be easier if i had a video phone that can record in mpeg-4 format?

I hope someone knows the answer to this issue. I have a friend who sends me text messages from Puerto Rico, (yes, she has Cingular (GSM phone)). whenever she sends me text messages in spanish for some weird reason I get them l i k e t h i s... i t d r i v e s m e c r a z y!!!! because of this when she sends a regular text (100- 120 characters) I get 3 or 4 text messages, I only have 100 txt a month so she is killing me text message package. I told her to send them in English, so I would get the txts msgs in the regular format (without the spaces) but sometimes she forgets, Is it my phone? Is it hers? Is it Cingular? HELP!

Can anyone explain to me how m2m minutes are used? I've heard some stories that if you make a phone call to another cingular customer, they deduct from your regular, peak time minutes first, just like a regular phone call. Once your peak time minutes run out, then m2m minutes kick in. I know verizon's IN calling has their own minutes allocated, so you'll never use your peak time minutes while calling another verizon customer. I'd draw you a flow chart, but I don't have the time. 😁

All i want my next phone to have is a megapixel camera on so i can take pictures i dont need any other extra features besides that is there any recommendations u can give me? The phone does not have to be out right now, any phones comming out in the next few months will be good to know to.
