I have a been a Verizon customer for about 19 months now.
I live in Gainesville, Florida(zip code 32614) but my Father lives in Long Island, New York(11706) though my Verizon phone may or may not work up there. My bother-in-law said he uses his T-Mobile phone up there in the Tri-State area and he always had coverage.
I bought the T-Mobile to GO Phone as a back up in case I need to see my Father foe emergecy operation. I figured by having or using two different cell technologies one has to work up there.
With my Nokia To Go Phone I bought the $100 prepaid card that gives me 1000 anytime minutes. It works great here where I live. I use that phone for my day calls, and the verizon for the unlimited night and weekends.

Has anyone bought an unlocked V635 and uased it on T-Mobile USA? I had to return mine because it would not receive the voicemail notification alert. I was told that it was becuase it was from Europe...but shouldn't an unlocked phone receive the upgraded voicemail notification?

Firts let me apoligize if this has already been brought up in the forum, then I'm sorry for the repeat question. I currently work for sprint and was asked a question that I couldn't answer about t-mobile's voip service. My customer was switching to sprint (she recently moved to the outer edge of town and her t-mobile just doesn't cover there) but wanted to know if sprint was offering the voip service that she has with her t-mobile.

I had heard that they had a service that they were going to start where you could plug your cell phone into a box connected to your high speed and have unlimited calls with you t-mobile number through the voip service with no overage. Is this out already? I hadn't heard.

What is going on with the replacement SKII’s, I have had a replacement on order for 3 weeks now. Each time I call in they say they are still on backorder. My current SKII doesn’t get signal unless you are next to a T-Mobile cell tower. Anyone out there know what is going on, or maybe when this backorder will be over? I have called customer service, however they keep telling me it will ship within the next few days, I have heard this for a few weeks now.

I am thinking about switching my To Go service on my sidekick to a "real" plan, because I occasionally travel to an area that is only covered by Cingular (don't know if it is 850 or 1.9 Ghz). Can my current Sidekick be transfered from To Go service to a contract plan (also I have a PV-100, which I know does not allow access to 850 Mhz do they offer the PV-108 and would they offer me one at a reduced price)?

i noticed 5 dollars were missing from my account i called and they said i had 38 or so text messages i deffinitly didnt send 38 maybe one or two but they refused to help me i thought it might have been from using funformobile.com to send ringtone/wallpaper to my phone but i thought that was free because i can recieve txt and mms messages for free

I'm moving to the area soon and wanted to hear from folks in town about Tmobiles coverage. I haven't had issues with them anywhere else but when I went to interview at UA my coverage was spotty at best and kept switching me over to AT&T but even that was hit or miss. I was getting ready to switch phones but then I remembered the coverage issue and wanted to check with people in town that have it. The map has pale gray highlighted around the town--ie limited service but some exists for some folks somewhere in town. Your help would be appreciated.

I went to Robert Moses Beach the other day on Long Island and i had full service throughout the trip and on the beach their was like one bar but hey it was more then sprint and nextel which had no service. i looked on the coverage check today and they have NO COVERAGE for the entire strip of robert moses beach...yet i had service...doesnt label it as roaming either...guess its not as accurate as we thought

This sort of thing would put T-Mobile in a very nice position to start using UMA capable phones when they start coming out. Any thoughts?

So is it just us, or has Samson been unusually sucky ever since the 6.0 upgrade? It's been incredibly slow, crashes more or less constantly, won't come back up for long periods of time and in general is giving me a gigantic migraine. It drives me nuts to be typing for a full paragraph on my notes with nothing coming up on the screen, it takes five minutes to get a usage summary up and just when I'm almost done with something it crashes and good luck getting back to that record if you didn't write it down on a stupid little piece of paper!

i have been a tmobile customer for years now, but this is the first time i'm thinking about upgrading while under a family plan. if i upgrade and sign-up for another 12 months, how does that effect the other person on the plan? she's interested in taking my current phone, but i don't want her to lose out on having the option of upgrading to a new phone on a discount if that's what she would prefer.

My friend has T-Mobile and would like to use an unlocked Sony T630.

Question: I've heard if he puts his sim card in the unlocked phone, voice services will be fine, but data (texts, specifically) won't work... is this true?

What are the downsides to using an unlocked phone? I understand that they won't be able to be serviced by T-Mobile, I'm more interested in functionality issues.
