Cingular's Threads

I just read some of the funniest conversations on the Cingular forum. Bad mouth 'em if you want to, but man are those guys fun to read. I have been in stitches for 30 minutes already. The Silly Yankee thread is hilarious. A true must read.

Imported phones . . .

I am thinking about upgrading to a new/better phone within the next 2-3months and T-Mobile hasn't released any new phones and probably won't within that time frame. I know a good amount of authorized dealers in NYC that sell very high-end imported GSM phones that should work with T-Mobile but does anyone have a few suggetions or tried out any good high-phones except Motorolas I am looking for a real phone not a play one. Let me know!

Thanks!

T-Mobile and roaming?

I'm a relatively new T-Mobile customer and I'm still trying to decide whether to stay with T-Mobile or if I should switch to another carrier...

I am very interested in comments from people that travel fairly often, especially by car. How is T-Mobile coverage for voice and data when driving long distances? Are there any large areas or cities where coverage is bad?

Also, are there certain phones that get better reception than others? I am patiently waiting to see what new phones T-Mobile will offer in the near future, but I am concerned about the lack of new phone offerings...

Voicemail Notification Question

Is it possible for me to receive a VM icon, rather than a text message that I have voice mail? I recently switched from another company and have been extremely pleased with my service. (Much better than another company who claims to be 👿 "Raising The Bar" 👿 )

New text and picture messaging prices and features

Starting June 29th, prices and features for TZones (which is being renamed TMobileWeb) are changing, the TMobileWeb unlimited feature goes to 5.99 and there are some changes being made to the menus, also account info will be available online.

Picture messaging costs essentially go to .05 per and are bundled with text messages, the features are priced as follows:

400 Text and Picture Messages for $4.99
1000 Text and Picture Messages for $9.99
Unlimited Text and Picture Messages for $14.99

So for all you SMS junkies out there, get ready to hit your MyTMobile account to add the features after the 29th--or you can call in and have us do it, either way... 😉

Pretty cool, overall... 😎

Unbilled Text Message Question

Does T-Mobile have an option to check unbilled text messages, like unbilled min? I thought I saw in a forum once where they did, just trying to find out for sure.

Coverage not shown on map

There is phone coverage in zip code 54234 which is not shown on the map. I also called Cust Care and they said there was not coverage there. There are several carriers, Einstein PCS, Cell One and IWS.
I thought IWS was Iowa Wireless, but this was in Wisconsin, does anyone have any info?
Also, how often are the maps updated?

Does this mean T-Mobile USA will...

Does this mean T-Mobile USA will get the Sony Ericsson D750?

http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=1394&source=RE ... »

"It appears that the Sony Ericsson D750, a T-Mobile branded version of the K750 that was slated for T-Mobile's European networks, might actually make it to the USA. The 2 megapixel camera-equipped device recently showed up on the US Government's FCC website, sporting the familiar T-Mobile logos and branding that differentiate it from a regular K750. No word yet if Sony Ericsson is planning a 850/1900Mhz version of the K750 with EDGE support for the country's largest network, Cingular."
