No More V635!
You can still find it online and in some Indirect dealers, but it will not be released for any GSM carrier here in the USA.
The V235 looks like a V600, but has video capture.

So, a retention call is transferred to me today, and heres what the scoop was: This customer had 5 lines, and had been with us since only november of last year. She had 5 V300's and had exchanged 2 of them-once. However, her complaint was that she had nothing but problems with her V300's (go figure) and her friends with other T-Mobile phones worked just fine. So, she went to an indirect dealer who offered to sell her some E315's for $229.99 each. This obviously upset her so she called in, and asked how much cust care could get them for, and was offered them for $169.99/ea with a one year contract. Well, she didn't l...

Nice Wireless Week write up...

NEWS@2 DIRECT
T-Mobile USA added 957,000 net new customers in the first quarter, fewer than the more than 1.1 million it added in the first quarter of 2004, but its revenues rose 27 percent.
Although the carrier did not specify a reason for the downturn in net adds, parent Deutsche Telekom (DT) attributed much of its own first-quarter success to growth in the U.S. wireless market. DT's net profit increased by nearly 60 percent year-to-year.
"We are very pleased with T-Mobile USA's first quarter of 2005 results, which prove the continuing growth potential of the U.S. wireless market," said Rene Obermann, CEO of T-Mobile International and Deutsche Telekom b...

Man sets texting record
Not that the guy has too much time on his hands or anything, but Deepak Sharma of Ludhiana, India, has gotten his name registered in the Guinness Book of World Records for sending 182,689 text messages a month, notes gizmo hub Engadget.
That would be, oh, something in the neighborhood of 6,000 messages a day, 253 an hour, 4.2 a minute or a new one every 14 seconds. Which leaves Sharma just enough time get in a quick wrist exercise every 12 hours or so.
Sharma aims to increase his messages to 300,000 in the coming month, according to Web News India, which notes that Sharma sends his rapid-fire messages to his relatives ...

Deutsche Telekom profits up 5.2pc
Thursday, May 12, 2005 Posted: 0817 GMT (1617 HKT)
Deutsche Telekom posted a 5.2 percent rise in first-quarter core profit Thursday, in line with forecasts, but a weak performance at its German and British units meant mobile earnings missed expectations.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) at Telekom's mobile business rose by 15.6 percent, more than offsetting a drop at its fixed-line arm, but missing expectations on regulatory orders and cut-throat competition.
Europe's largest telecoms operator once again relied almost exclusively on its U.S. mobile o...
