Another @Home Thread About Overseas
If you havent heard, @home II is basicly a router that holds the SIM card directly in it(up to two sim cards) and then landline like phones connect to the router. It can work a few ways, you can either pop out your SIM card from your phone and pop it in there(making it possible for everyone to have @home regardless to if they have an @home cellphone), or you can have a dedicated line that just stays in the router. The way it call is still the same exact way as the original @home.
Im thinking that it would be possible to hook up one of these routers overseas, with an @home enabled SIM card for unlimited calls back ho...

Test your UMA knowledge... Hard Question..
So here is the hard question:
I have family in South Africa. They have wifi in their house. So when I visit why couldn't I connect to their wifi and make/receive calls?
Better yet... why couldn't I take an extra phone with me (add it onto my family plan), and she can call us M2M free via her wifi?
Just thinking outside the box here...
Thanks for your input...

Microsoft aquires Danger Inc.
This Microsoft might pan out to others than T-Mobile now to release the Sidekick??
from www.boygeniusreport.com:
Microsoft aquiring Danger Inc. WTF?
Ugh! Let’s just hope the Danger OS doesn’t go away (we doubt it will). This actually might make sense, though. With Microsoft in the mix, Danger can now concentrate on the software and integrating new features like 3G, GPS, and Wi-Fi. Also Microsoft is said to be handling the backend system, so we shouldn’t be plagued by the shoddy service and outages anymore. Anyone at all excited about this?

Can anybody help me out with my sidekick?
I have at&t, and i've wanted a sidekick for sooo longgg. I finally got a Sidekick 3 from a friend who didn't want it any longer because she got something else. I thought it might be a cool project to try and unlock it myself so that it can work with my at&t simcard.
Well needless to say it's harder than i thought.
Is there anybody that knows how to do it? punching in a code or going through a step process to make it so the sidekick can work with my at&t simcard?
I don't need the internet to work or anything, just calls and texting.
I'd be overjoyed and so excited i...

T-Mobile 3G service and unlocked phones
Right now T-mobile only has one phone that is compatible with 3g service and it also offered at att so how does this work does the carrier have to make the phone compatable to their specific higher frequency or will any 3g phone pick up the bandwidths do the carriers instruct the manufacturers that this nokia will have only that bandwidth and if it is just a question of bandwitch couldnt any phone just be modified to receive these higher bandwidths.
Please forgive me...
