I'm confused.
SOme websites call Treos "Smartphones", while others call them "Pocket PC's". Which are they?
...
I think they mean the same thing. Like if I was to say "order me a McRib." It would mean the same thing as "Order me Poo on a bun."
...
they are neither and both.... 👀
no... really. they are smartphones, NOT pocket PC's... a PPC is microsoft based. the websites that call the PPC's need to be shot, burned... in a small fire... ground to dust and thrown into the pit of doom in Shayol Gul. they are idiots. the treo is a smart phone. they are also referred to as 'smart devices.'

Cool. Thx for the 411.

it is actually very confusing. Pocket PC is all wrong: Pocket PC is the Windows Mobile PDAs with a touch screen. And this is where it gets confusing. Windows Mobile's non touch screen PDAs are called Windows Mobile Smartphones. But the Palm based Treos HAVE a touch screen, yet they are still called smartphones.

microsofts definition of the term 'smartphone' is different from the rest of the world... kinda like their definition of 'quality.'
