i just bought a new 8801 i had it for about 2 weeks now and i dont noe why but all of a sudden i answer my fone and it doesnt slide smoother anymore like it makes a rusty sound wen sliding is there anyway i can fix this?

I recently put a java game (metal slug) on to my girlfriends phone....

And now can't get it off. Theres no option to delete it like there is on mine and I cant find it when its plugged into a PC either.

Hi,

I'm trying to reset the ring duration on a nokia 6210 to it's maximum setting (30secs) for a disable user who cannot get to the phone in a hurry.

I've set up the voice mail number and tried to activate the "divert if not answered" which sometimes activates and sometimes doesn't. Either way the phone cuts out after approx 15 secs.. is there any way to lengthen this?

First of all let me start off by saying that I think you make the most durable and realiable phones on the market. I love your phones and am a long time user. Based on all of the user ratings here on phonescoop I have this to say to you:

Stick with what you know and do best. Stick with manufacturing candy bar style phones. They have better user ratings overall than your flip phones. Plus your competitors can't make decent candy bar phones period. And a lot of people have ditched flashy flip phones to come to use your reliable candy bar phones.

I would like to know if the phone's display works Vert or Horz when using the camera. I would also like to know if the auto brightness control can be turned off so that the display can be set at max brightness for I am loosing my sight and need all the brightness a display can deliver.

Is screen size difference that much different;seems like Nokia is visually considerably smaller and not as bright?
I assume free bluetooth headset is not that big of a difference from Motorola, versu none from Nokia.

How can i tell what frequency my phone is using? I am on 6230, unlocked, cingular. I want to know if i am hitting 850Mhz, 1800MHz or 1900MHz.

Hello. I recently bought a Nokia 6170 phone and it seems to have a software problem, or so I think. Randomly the mainscreen blocks displaing only the clock on a white background. Also the buttons ''Menu'', ''go to'' and ''names'' can be seen on the lower part of the sceen. If a close phone, the other screen shows the clock in the same way. The only thing left to do is to restart the phone. I wonder if anybody else had this problem because I searched and did not find any topics regarding my problem. Thanks.

...nevermind the details why, but I am suddenly one GSM phone short (alas, my poor 3595, I knew him well). I was thinking a cheap, easy solution would be picking up a Tracfone Nokia 2600 or 1100 & unlocking it - I have the unlock software for Nokia phones, it's available here:

The only problem is that both the program & the website specify a network the phone is locked to, but Tracfone isn't on the list. . . ? What do I do? Is there another name they operate under?

Any other suggestions for getting a usable & unlockable GSM fon cheap & quick? (I have options, but they take time & I kinda need a phone today).
