Hello. I recently bought a Motorola V620. Its quite similar to the V600 although when you either display the Ring Lights or receive calls, the screen also flashes. Is this how its supposed to be? Help me please.

Has anyone ever noticed that like on motorola's phones from cingular/att t-mobile, there color screens are like really crappy but with verizon, nextel, sprint they seem to be of higher quality? is it just me or could it be the company? or are there phones just cheaper with those companys. because i had the v220 from cingular and the pictures were very blury and the screen was very blury, but my friend with verizon he has the v710 and its pictures/animation is awesome!

This may be really elementary but a v600 with a mot 9810 BT headset. How do you set the phone to "auto" recognize that headset every time you use it without having to go through 4-5 steps each time?

Anyone know where I can download a manual for the V635? I've been using the V600 I downloaded and it has helped somewhat but I'd really like to get my hands on the a V635 book.

This week I got a v551 phone and I want to put a housing on to replace the original housing. I see them being sold on ebay and they say the housings will fit v551. I'm wondering how to install these housings.

If anyone has installed one of these housings, please explain how to install these housings.

Is there a way to do type ahead type searches when looking up an address? What I mean is, when I press "m", the phone jumps to the m's. I want to be able to type "mi" and have the phone jump to "Mike". Instead, it jumps to the m's, then jumps to the i's. Any ideas?

Is there a way to sync my v551 with my mac or pc? All I can do from my mac is the mac will recognize the phone, and then ask if I want to use the phone as a modem. The sync with address book is greyed out. My pc does this too. Anyone know how to do this? Motorola wont get back to me.

I want to download ringtones to my phone, and I'm trying to establish a connection between my V551 and my desktop (running Win XP Pro SP1), using a Linksys Bluetooth USB Adapter (USBBT100). I can get the devices to pair just fine, but when I go to My Bluetooth Places on my PC and click on OBEX File Transfer, I get an "Error establishing connection" message, and can't see the folders on my phone. I know the phone and PC are at least talking to each other... on the phone, I changed the Access option (under Device Details for my Desktop entry) to "Ask" instead of "Automatic", then when I try to open the folder on my PC as mentioned above, the phone asks "Desktop requests OBEX Transfer", to which I must select Grant or Deny, so I know the phon...

I just got the v551, and the right soft key is set to Video Camera. Since the video camera sucks, I don't plan on using it and would like to change the right soft key in the Home Screen. Unfortunately, Settings->Personalize->Home Screen lets you change the left soft key but not the right soft key. Anyone know how to do this?

Well i just spoke with our motorola representative as well as the customer service number for their ALLPROMOTO contest that is running.

Whats ridiculous is our store sells a ton of motorolas, everyone in my store qualifies for tier 4 of their prizes...

However the ONLY people eligible to enter into the contest are NON exclusive dealer agents that are part of motorolas Bullsh*t "dealer council"..

What a load of crap for a contest.

Okay, yesterday I just happened to be on the Cingular website, and i was going through the phones section and I saw a new Siemens phone, and the Motorola V551 and RAZR V3. Well, I really liked the V551 (RAZR was way too much for me), so I printed out the little info page thing, thinking: "This looks so cool!"

Today, I checked the phones section, and all of Cingular's new phones had disappeared! (Including the V551) 😳 So I was like, "Okay...what just happened?!" Has the V551 even been released yet? If so, can someone tell me where I can get one in my area? (Acworth, Georgia) Thanks.

I've got a mac (powerbook) and a V400. Is there anyway i can send my mp3s to my phone or is that only available on pc?

I've gone everywhere asking for help, and this forum is a last resort. I've PMed many, and asked in many other well-known forums.

I'm hoping to find out, in any way possible, how to save text messages that are currently on my V710. I want to save them so I can transfer them to my new V710 which I am getting tomorrow morning.

My current V710 has a cracked screen, and I can't see anything, but the phone is still usable, and I've been able to connect it to BitPim. I noticed in BitPim the SMS thread, but it says I can't open it. Don't know if this is where my text messages are saved.

If you know how to, or think you could help me, please do. I'm really hoping it's possible, in any way. 🙂

If anyone owns the Motorola C650 for T-Mobile, can anyone who knows tell me if there is a way to make it so that it doesnt start from low to high? Like if I get a test message the 'Wind Chime" sound starts very low and hard to hear. Thanks

I am looking at an unlocked Alltel Motorola Timeport 270c to use on Verizon.

I called Verizon today to ask if an Alltel Timeport 270c can be activated and they said it could, but they were not sure if all the features would work.

Does anyone here know if there would be any reason NOT to get this phone, at least from a standpoint of features working on Verizon?
