Hi all.
I have a car DC adapter for an i95cl that has been taken out of service. Replacing it, is a V551. Can I use the DC adapter from the i95cl for the V551? I know the connector is the same, but is the voltage and current output compatible/safe for use with the V551? Generic or technical answers are welcome. Thank you.

I was loading up my new V551. I created the first address book entry. The phone automatically assigned it Speed No. 1. I gave it a voice tag. Everything worked.

Later I created about the 20th entry. I wanted it to have Speed No. 1, so I entered 1 there. It asked if I wanted to replace the existing Speed No. 1. I said yes.

It turns out it completely replaced the address book entry with the new one, not just swap out the Speed No. 👿 OK, so I created another entry for the first one that was overwritten.

Then the problem. I wanted to assign the same voice tag to the recreated entry. When I recorded the voice tag, it says a similar tag already exists. It looks like the original voice tag for that very first entry is still in the p...

Having just downloaded this update to MPT I was excited to be able to create my own ringtones from my own music cds. but i am having nothing but problems. Error messages when I try to create a new file, When i try to transfer a file to my V3 I get error message "format not supported" (wav and mp3)
can someone help?
I have not gotten any response from Motorola after 72 hours.

Can someone please tell me what the "teacup" icon displayed on the screen of a V220 means? Seached the manual and all the posts here - nothing! Driving my xyl mad (and me cos she keeps asking me to find out!) Thanks to whoever get me some peace and quiet!

Why does the mototorla web site have to be the worst one i have came across? No support for anything... they have a complete waste for a website... get your sh()t straight moto..... once again i bought a moto, I know I shouldn't have, but i did... now they are pissing me off again.......

Is it just me or Motorla make the most godawful phones in the universe?

I just received my 4th v400 replacement from Cingular today and I am having a problem with it already!! I switched from my old V400 with a full charge on my battery and when I put it in my "replacement" it says the battery was dead! so I charged it and 10 mins later it said charge complete. took it off the charger and about 10 seconds later it goes from being fully charged to one bar... what is going on?? Is this a known defect or what. I have had nothing with problems with moto phones with Cingular. I had the v600 and had two of those and now I'm on my 4 v400 with problems. What is the policy for getting a different model? I am willing to re sign my contract or pay the difference for another model. I can't keep having problems with my phone...

I was shocked to find that if the newer Motorola phones are in an area of "No Service" your Clock, DateBook, Reminders, Alarms, also DO NOT WORK. You will not know the time and neither will the phone!

That means if you have programmed in your datebook an appointment, or meeting your v810 or v710 WILL NOT REMIND you!!!

I will be selling my Verizon v810 and not buying the v710 either. 😢

Anyone know where to purchase those little grey rubber "bumpers" that go over/in the screw holes? I lost one and need to replace it.

Just a word that I am using a Cingular phone on AT&T,
I configured it using the V600 phone, an idea I picked up here and it worked great!

I also had no problems with with mobile phone tools and others that I have read about here.

So far the only two problems are the screen does have a slight tilt to the right and I think the volume is too low!
I had it all the way up to 7 and had to ask my sister to speak up, maybe it's her 🙄

I haven't talked to anyone else yet, I'm still charging for the first time, I did get my pics and sounds transfered alreay!

I'm setting up a v400 and got to the security settings,
There is a place to set "Bar Password", I can't find anywhere in the manual what this is.

The other passwords have a default and you can change them to your own.

Does anyone know what the bar password is and what it is???

I was shopping around for a Razr online yesterday (before Cingular put it back up on their website) and found that Wirefly.com was selling it at $499.99 with a Cingular service contract, and including some free accessories. I signed up for the contract and the phone.

Today, I went to check the status of my order because their status site wasn't updating, and after digging up some well-hidden customer service and sales numbers on their site, I couldn't get through. (The call simply would not complete for any of their 800 or 888 numbers.) I have a V620 but will only work via usb on winXP with sp1 and NOT sp2. there are no updates I can find. tried everything. Can anyone help? ☹️

Normal Bletooth is 31.8 or so feet, but how long is the long range Bluetooth on the V3?

Does anyone know if it is possible to tweak the phonebook on moto phones (v551) so that a person's name only shows up once and their contact numbers show up when you go into a sub-screen after selecting that person's name?

Seems like Moto would have caught up with the other manufacturers about this a while ago.
Maybe someone can explain the logic behind the one name-one number concept.

I love my newly purchased Motorola V710
phone with Bluetooth. This morning I finally had time to hook it to my
car and actually made a call through the car's microphone and speaker.
I
have also, finally, been able to copy by hand all the phone numbers
from my
previous phone into the new Motorola V710. Whew.

The problem came when I set the car up to receive the address book from
the phone. I got to the point where the car said it was ok to send the data
now. I searched the phone's menu system and read the manual cover to cover
but could not find any instructions for sending the phone numbers I had
installed on the phone to the car.

Anybody have any ideas

The a630, v551, and Razr V3 just popped up on the pricing sheet for my market today! You can probabl expect an imminent release.

The v551 and a630 aren't bad in pricing...but as far as the V3 goes...can we say EXPENSIVE?!?!?! 😳
