Motorola RAZR2 V9m

I'm in New Jersey. I have not seen anything that even resembled a brown/bronze version yet. UUGGHH! I really thought that this was the phone for me because of the brown color being different from so many other phones. Every store I call says it is black/silver. I've even called as far as the Pasadena California store and they say black/silver.

Just for kicks, I just called the Santa Monica store (the one in Circuit City--the other phone number did not work).

ANYWAY, he describes it to me as black. Wierd....

The Santa Monica store is a stand-alone store not in a Circuit City. Their # is 310-828-1279. I know for sure they have the bronze/brown because that is what I got. What does customer service tell you the color is?

Customer service says it is a black phone and that is all that they have. I don't get it. I just called the number you gave me and they say it is more of a brown/black/bronze. They also said that there is only one color available to ANY verizon store(s). Perhaps the light in the store is just showing it a little different . I think I'll just go pick one up tomorrow and bring it home. Maybe it will look different in different lighting.

It's possible that the lighting makes it look black. I mean seriously I am not colorblind, but the dark brown on the phone, epecially the inside of the phone, appears almost black, indoors and at a distance. And I figure that most reps in the stores, as unhelpful and unknowledgable as they are, do not take the time to make the distinction between the colors. Most times that I've gone into store, the reps seem so "overwhelmed" and do not want to take an extra few minutes to answer questions about the phones. From everything I've read, the VZW version is supposed to be bronze/brown, and I'm loving the color. If one of the stores has another color, I would be surprised.

By the way, customer service doesn't usually know much about the phones either, even when they have been out a while. And many of them don't see the different models in person to know enough about them, so they end up reading off some manual. So since the Razr 2 is so new, I doubt many of them will be able to tell you much about it, other than what you can already see for yourself on the VZW website. So I'm pretty sure they just say it's black because that's what it looks like on the web.

Guys. There are 2 colors out right now for the RAZR2. I just spoke with my Verizon Rep here in the North West Billing system. I have seen with my two eyes, two different colors. Black/Silver, and Espresso/Bronze. In about three months they will be releasing the Blue one. Some retail stores only offer one color or the other, but both colors are floating around. Hope this helps

I am in NJ. Any idea of where I can get a brown/bronze version? I've been to 10 or more stores already--just went to four more today. ANY HELP would be great!

I just spoke to my Verizon rep and it looks like to me that they only came out with a few of those bronze brown ones. Now they are ONLY offering the black and silver versions at direct stores (corporate)But if you try inderect stores they might still have them. Verizon may just be running behind and will be coming out with more Bronze/Brown versions, we may never know...

Thanks for the info! I am calling several stores right now. So far, two are saying that they have a black version with a copper plate around the display and two are saying black w/silver. It's a 45 minute drive for me so I wanted to make sure first. Wish that the bronze version was available everywhere! If you come up with any specific stores close to Central NJ, please post which ones have the brown version! THANKS AGAIN!

Kendallish-I too am in the same position as you> I'd like to purchase the razr 2 but am worried that it's too new yet.

Also, your posts about what color it is are interesting. I'll be curious to see what you post when you do purchase and where you find this brown color. I have gone also called stores nearby (specifically NY stores) and they say it's brown. The next day they say it's black. Who knows? Are there really two different colors or what? Let us all know what you find out if you go to purchase!
