Downgraded?
it seems to be downgraded.
compared to the V9, the processor speed has been cut in HALF, the LCD is only 65K colors, not 256K.
The crystal talk feature has been disabled (at least on the verizon version). Bluetooth is v1.2, not 2.0, and certain profiles have been removed.
The battery is only 730mAH, compared to 920mAH.
Support for audio formats is very low on v9m.
And the price difference between the two versions is only $50 dollars.
For such lack of features, isnt it only fair that they sell the phone for under $200.
And I wonder why it is like that? The v9m is supposed to be the CDMA alternative to the V9. Or atleast, thats what I thought.

"Should" means nothing to Verizon. CDMA wireless carriers have the consumer by the stones because there simply isn't as much regulation on the handsets as there is in the GSM world. Carriers like Verizon and Sprint have a lot more freedom on what they do to their handsets because you can't go out and buy an unlocked version and activate it on their networks. Verizon could care less what the consumer thinks they "should get" because they're still the largest wireless provider in the USA in terms of revenue...and let's not forget - despit...
