Samsung SCH-A610

Do you guys think that Samsung's PCLINK software (used for syncing via a USB cable) could be downloaded from another carrier, other than Verizon, and used with the SCH-A610? For example, an Israeli carrier offers the software for free download from their Web site for a very similar model - see: http://www.pelephone.co.il/itemDetails.asp?pg id=1053&catID=164&tmpltId=27&fId=128 but I don't have a USB cable to test this, nor do I know whether it will work.
