One of you guys mentioned that when the samsung scha610 was coming out that the vx6000 would drop from 199.99 to 149.99.. Where I live it has, suffolk county, NY. Also, a rep at the verizon store said that he has the coupons for the mail in rebate for the A-610, but that he hasnt seen the phone though. I would think that it should be any day now because they have the rebate coupons. Also, go onto www.samsungtelecom.com/training/verizon, and use the password innovative.... it shows the training legimine for verizon workers on the samsung A610...if anyone hears anything on a release date please reply, thx.

That was useful. If you go to this site, there are a couple of interesting things of note:
1) There is a contest you can enter to win the verizon only a610. Phones will be awarded on Dec 14th.
2) The verizon users manual is posted which probably means they are very very close.
If I had to guess, I'd say it couldn't be later than 12/14 unless Verizon runs into additional problems qualifying the phone on their network.

SORKA, I hope this phone comes out prior to christmas, but I dont think so, but read the contest rules, unfortunately the phones are not going to be given out until on or before 01/30/04.
