N-Gage?

I haven't seen, read or even heard about the N-Gage for at least two years. For all I knew I thought it was looong gone. I worked for a video game retailer back in 2005 and they were just finishing ridding themselves of all the games.

Is there a SINGLE good game for the N-Gage?

No, really I dont see why to buy it if it's not supported by good titles.

If the N-gage comes out with the equivalent of Halo or Starcaft (quality wise) then im in.. otherwise ill stick to my PSP.

Big Deal!!

I'm sure it will just be some more cingular junk. They need to stop focusing on phones with SO system, and silly games and FOCUS on their darn coverage. Verizon might have lame phones but atleast you can count on them. Now don't go crazy orange guys, I tried your silly service you just can't count on it. GSM carriers need to greatly improve, before I make the switch again.

Good idea

Throwing the games out to their smartphones is a good idea by Nokia. The original N-Gage was a disaster (you have to remove the battery to change games? you have to sidetalk into a taco? Uh, no thanks...), and while the QD may be an improvement, gamers are much more likely to choose a Sony PSP or a Nintendo DS/GBA as their 'mobile gaming solution'.

But smartphones are always going to be with us, and the potential userbase is huge. Kudos to Nokia for rethinking their gaming initiative.

Why?

with Nintendo DS and the PSP i dont see why they would expand an inferier platform. ive played with a QD and it didnt impress me. i've heard (meaning it could be BS) that those game cards can only hold a max of 32 megs on them

Greater exposure

I don't know about anyone else, but I think it's neat you'll be able to experience this type of gaming on a wider range of phones offered by Nokia.

Reprogramming an N-Gage for Cingular

Though the N-Gage was released for At&T Wireless and T-Mobile, I put my SIM from Cingular on it and it worked fine. Since my phone was programmed for AT&T Wireless... Does anyone now how to program it to access the web with Cingular?
