Nice but.....
Unlock the GSM portion and get a global SIM or a local SIM for the country you are traveling to. It's no hassle. Just plain common sense.
This makes no sence
Did you mean the Droid Razr ?
What about Droid 3??
This lack of support for EVERY phone that should get this update, and your bloatware apps that you try to push on us, is the reason that people (not me...yet) root their phones.

No Spring-assist slider
Especially the keyboard has a great feel when typing, although there should be more space between the keys.
But what bothers me very much is the slider mechanism. There is no "spring assist" - unlike every other slider phone on the market - which makes the Droid 4 sliding up and down cumbersome, and does not provide the quality feel that I tend to expect from such a hig...

Micro-USB chargers
I have a charger from my old HTC Touch Pro2 that has 5 volts and 1000mAmp output via a mini-USB cable that plugs into the charger.
If I buy a micro-USB cable and plug that into the HTC charger, will it work with my Droid 4 to charge it SAFELY?
Googling this issue raises doubts that Moto is behaving with any "standard" micro-USB being able to charge their phones.
"That's a huge gap"
"but there is a bit too much space/air between the two halves of the phone. Held sideways up to my eyes like a pair of binoculars, I could read the text on my computer screen from several feet away through the phone. That's a huge gap."
Let me surmise why that might be.
For example, on my LG enV Touch (first and LAST LG anything) ... without a screen protector on the inside display, overtime, with the phone close, the keyboard will create small impressions on the inside screen ... as evident by the impressions on the screen protector, without which, they would be on the screen!
So, the gap you are referring to may be to prevent this, w/o out the need for a screen protector - at least for that purpose.

Droid 4 battery - is it removable?
I've been hearing different information about whether or not the Droid 4 battery is removable or not. From your video and pics it looks like there might be a battery cover on the back of the phone. So does this phone have a removable battery? Thanks in advance.

Helps
Putting GSM international roaming capabilities with these phones is a nice touch. There are lots of people that prefer VZW to GSM carriers in the U.S. And yes, there are people that travel alot internationally and having not to rent GSM capable phones is a welcomed convenience. đ
No spring assist..????
"...The slide mechanism is difficult to slide open (there's no spring assist) and even more difficult to close..."
Oh My GOD! That's a deal breaker for me!!! Why no spring-assist like everyone else does? It's so much easier. smoother, and easier!! Motorola, How many times do we need to repeat the same request, over and over again!! Are you deaf or what??
I was soooo hoping for that phone. I am afraid I will need to look elsewhere. Very sad and disappointed.! đ
