The t259 is also a 3G device, however every single other flip phone sold by t-mobile is 2G (LG GS170, T-Mobile 665, and the t139). Soon t-mobile will get rid of 1900Mhz 2G service, so, do not buy a 2G t-mobile phone. If you want a flip phone, go for this one, the t159.
