Locked Bootloader for P769
Unfortunately, LG has decided to lock the bootloader and the only way to obtain the token is using UNLOCKABLE firmware which voids the warranty.
Easy enough? Nope....the official LG unlock method does not work on certain models shipped with Jelly Bean 4.1.2. Many users say it is hit or miss....that it takes several attepts. Others say that if too many failed attempts occur, the efuse gets blown making the device perma-locked.
Ultimately, it's your choice. If you enjoy a good challenge, by all means go for it. Honestly, I already tried several times and after thinking about it....I'm satisfied with being rooted and using Pimp my Rom to apply all the necessary tweaks.
This phone sucks!
This phone had so much potential to me. It was a great bang for your buck...........until I realized that some genius decided to not let you move apps to the SD card. That leaves you with only 1.8GB of internal storage for your apps. There is no reason why ICS should not have the ability to move apps to your sd card to save tour internal space........
May choose this over the Relay
I'm almost to the point of smashing my still on Froyo Sidekick 4G. I've been comparing prices with my partial discount and this seems to hit the mark.
The Relay is just too expensive and it seems Samsung is pretty much ignoring this model too.
Sure, I'd love the Nexus 4...buuuut....once again...too expensive. AND hard to find here in T-Mobile Puerto Rico.
I'll miss the keyboard but at least LG has a history of awesome dev support over at Cyanogen and xda.

696 hours standby ?
Now THAT is impressive. Only charging the phone once per month, is this like a hybrid gas-electric phone or something ? 🤣

Forward Thinking
This app is amazing, if it actually works. But people, this app is no replacement for using common sence with the apps that you download. Everybody should of course be vigilant with the apps they chose to download and use. I don't agree with this app being preloaded, as the article says, if it is always running in the background, that will decrease available RAM and decrease battery life.
