Audiovox CDM-9900

Ive had my phone for 3 weeks now and it's great. What's weird though is that on 2 occasions my phone has rang and the external ID displays "No Number" to which I answer the call and there is nobody on the other line (surprise surprise). Does anyone else's phone do this?

Took it back and will wait to see what the xmas deals are...and what the 6100 offers. Will miss the big screen....for you that keep it, enjoy.

I downloaded the Mobile IM application on my 9900 and I cant get it off. Does anybody know what to do? 😳

👿 Ok, i ordered the Audiovox CDM9900 the 10th of October, the verizon rep. said that it will come in 3-4 business days, note that i also have a samsung sch650(i believe thats right) and they didn't want to leave me without a phone so once this phone comes, i send them back my old phone. So i waited it out till the 17th and the phone didnt come. So i called back and they said ok ok, it should come by monday because they screwed up on the delivery(19th) and the phone still isn't at my house!?! what is up?

I mean i have my first day at gamestop in the mall today(i got the job) and i wanted to pick up my case when i went. Has anyone had this same problem? 😢

I WANT MY PHONE

I set up a friends phone number for a specific ring tone. Then I set up my txt message ring tone. I want all text messages to be the same ring tone. But, when I receive a text message it sees his cell number, and plays the ring tone set up in the phone book.

Is there something I'm missing, or does this phone lack the ability to have 2 separate tones for a call and txt from one number?

ok guys.. my contract with verizon ended 3 days ago and since my old vx 10 died with it, my dad took it upon himself to get myself and him new phones... he got himself the 8910 and since the 9900 (the one i really wanted... ☹️) was sold out, he got me the 8910 as well. i really want the 9900 when it comes back in stock.. the 8910 is an okay phone--but i don't like it much.. my dad, however, loves it.. and he won't let me switch unless there's a good reason to.. i need some ammo to convince him that the 9900 is so much better.. help?!

I was wondering if anybody had the same problem. When I insert the ear-piece, close the phone, then open it to adjust the volume. It seems like the volume side keys don't work. If I take out and then reinsert the headset, I can then adjust the volume again.

How come Get It Now has barely any game or ringtone apps. 😢 is there any other way i can get games/ ringtones on my phone IE the internet or something????

I was wondering if Verizon is going to get any more of these phones in the next few weeks. The verizon rep I talked with today said he has a waiting list of over 62 people for this phone, mostly new contracts....

Does anyone have experience with compatible headsets/chargers? I see a bunch for really really cheap on eBay but I'm skeptical. Any recommendations? Is it possible to get a bad car charger and mess up your phone battery or something? Thanks for any advice and/or recommendations!

i got my own site and i have a few ringtones on there, i went to it on my phone, and it recevies the tone but all you can do is listen to it then it dosent save to media gallery, is their any way to do this?? my site is www.surrattracing.com/cell i got ok ringtones, dl if ya wont

When you directly dial a number into the 9900 and press [SEND] it will show you the name of the dialed party if that party is in your contacts list... as it should be...

Now... at your idle screen dial a number that is in your contacts list, BUT make a "mistake" with the area code (use 555, because it does not really exist)...

The contact that has that phone number will be displayed when you press [SEND] and this will be placed in your recent call list...

So the software is matching only the "phone number" to the contact and not the "area code"...

This can be confusing if you are in an area with numerous area codes. If you make a mistake with which area code to use for someone, but use the correct number the phone indicates tha...

Has anyone had their 9900's LED flash red for no apparent reason?

I was reading the refund/exchange policy for VZW, and it said that they give refurbished phones upon exchange. Is this true? Because I was planning on possibly exchanging my 9900 for the LG6100, if I'm not thoroughly satisfied with it by the end of my 15 day period.

So far, having only had my 9900 for a few hours, I'm very happy with it. Gotta give kudos to Toshiba/Audiovox for making such a phenomenal screen...by far the best I've seen yet...like looking at my computer screen. My only gripe at first was the sad selection of ringtones...and the volume of the ringers (which I soon fixed)...and xringer gave me a free ringtone so that was sweet. But now I'm a little leary of the plastic casing...does this seem like durable material? I'm so a...
