Motorola V710

K I got my cell phone updated software wise.

And i got a smc card. its 256 megs..

can some one tell me where is a site I can download some games for it?

Cause I want games big time for it =)

We have started to heavily use the new Mot V710, the killer feature for us the the 1.3 meg camera which is not that great quality.
Our question is, we would like to use the put the TransFlash chip into the SD adapter and insert that into one of our high quality Digital Camera's . Then put the now full TransFlash chip back into the Mot V710 and email out the high quality pictures. Does the .jpg pictures need to be in a particular directory or can we program the V710 to pickup pics from a specific (made by dig. camera) directory ?

Any ideas ?

is there a way to do this without editing you message everyyy time?

I got my TF card and I formated it on my phone and I tranfer mp3s to the TF from my computer to the card in the Moto/Shared/audio folder and when I put the TF card in the phone it read it and the mp3 file but I cant tranfer it to my phone it doesnt give me the option to move it or copy it Also I have the new sofware on my v710 version 8700_01.40.OR and any one help me please

Finally figured out how to turn the speakerphone on after having my phone for 1.5 months. Now I can't get it to turn off. Looked it up in the manual. I've looked around online. Can't find a way. Please help, as its really annoying and I have no desire to talk on the speakerphone for the rest of my using this phone.

hey I bought my cell around january. and I haven't got an software updates for it yet.

I have the card thing and can hook it up to my computer if you know where I can get something to update it.. and where can I get some games for it? I bought the 256 meg addon. I should of got the bigger one... but ah well ;)

What size do pics that are put on the transflash and set to wallpaper have to be in order to "fit" on the screen without looking stupid, stretched, and blocky? Thanks

Can anyone recommend a belt holster that can be used with the extended battery that will swivel? Standard Motorola fits fine but is uncomfortable, all I've found online I cannot tell if they will work with the extended battery or not.

I've just received a call from Verizon Wireless. They told me they were calling me because my name was on an FCC complaint list regarding the V710. They offered to notate my account to swap out my V710 for an E815 without impacting on my "new every two" plan status.

I was driving at the time and was not able to write anything down so I asked if he could leave me a voice mail with his contact info. He said that he was leave me a text message. It never came.

I called the number back the next morning and it WAS in fact from Verizon Wireless. I spoke to customer support who had no knowledge of what department called me.

The guy I spoke to surmised that if Verizon got the V710s out of people's hands and replaced them with other ph...

I've been off of phone scoop for quite some time now... ever since getting my v710 last August (on the first day it came out)

All of the news I'm now reading on the pending litigation and the replacement 815 is new to me.

I have a few questions:

1. What are the differences between the v710 and the v815. They look identical from the pictures - but surely there must be diffs.

2. I bought my v710 on the first day it was available last August. I got the rebate, but still have all of my paperwork. I've also traded the phone in for 2 new ones (my first one had a VERY low ear piece volume. My second one crashed a lot and also would sometimes cut-out all together ont the ear piece. Unfortunately - the third one I now have still doe...

I haven't been able to find the V710 lately at any Verizon store. Some Verizon sales people tell me that they expect to get more later this month and others tell me that Verizon is in the process of replacing the V710 with the E815 and that no more V710s will be coming in. Does anyone know which is the truth? Does anyone know where a new V710 can still be purchased?

I noticed that the alarm doesnt work while the phone is off... took a few days of being late to work to get it...

Is there any way to get it to work while its off?

can anyone tell me where to get directions on the seem edit? i tried nuclear elephant and when i tried to download one of the programs necessary for the seem edit it just took me to a website in spanish... any help will be greatly appreciated. 🙂

I have heard in howardforums that there my be a possible second software for the V710 in order to make it more like the E815.

Examples:
Improved camera quality.
Customizable outer display.
Speakerphone with flip closed.


Any inside information Verizon employees have would be very helpful and much appreciated to all V710 owners.
