Motorola RAZR V3

I've got a black unlocked V3 in use with T-Mobile. NO problems until now when they changed their voice mail system & I'm unable to have the "message" icon come on when messages are available. Instead, I get unintelligible text messages when I have messages and when I check voice mail messages. Suggestions or known fixes? Thanks.

My new Razr emits a low toned buzzing sound from the lower keypad area. It also emits a high pitched whining sound from the upper display area. I think all Razr's may emit the buzzing sound, and many but not all Razr's emit the whining sound. Put your ear against the lower keypad and the upper display to hear these two sounds. How many people hear them? I believe that many Razr's emit these sounds, even though many Razr owners do not notice them. I'm wondering just how many units do and do not emit these sounds. I'm also wondering how many Razr owners can hear the sounds when they listen for them, but don't notice them otherwise. Hey guys,
I just upgraded to the v3 from the v400 and had a question.
On my v400 i could "hex edit" the binary files to where the rings would be significantly louder than what it came with.
Do you know if the core binary stuff is the same as the v400? If not, do yall know of a link that shows how to do this?

just wonderin what the best format for ringtones is for the razr...

most ringtones i make are 400 to 800 kb and in mp3 format..

i want to keep them as clear and loud as possible and was wondering if there's another format to use or a way to convert them so they take up less space when i upload them to my phone

hi, i accidentally erased the moto theme folder an suddenly a folder outside the mobile was created with the name 1870 and inside of its there´s a .dat file that cant be removed, now my phone has no theme on it and i cant find a way to restore it!!!

Hi ! I have got this georgeous looking black V3 and considering I have been with NOKIA for the last 10 years ......I am not regreting my decision. Two very irritating things though....I wonder if I am doing somthing wrong. (The manual is so pathetic )

1. If I set the alarm on there is NO sign that it has been set on the face of the phone. In fact one has to go to alarm and then to edit to see the time that has been set. Even the cheapest of the NOKIA model have this feature. Moreover everyday one has to enable this feature...there no way one can set it and forget it( I have always used my mobile to get up in the morning ).

2. In case there is an incoming call and the phone has been configured to answer automatically on flipping open...

Hey all-

Couple of questions here:

1. Is it possible to make "create a new text message" assignable to a softkey? Right now I've got to click messaging, then scroll to create a new text message to start the process.

2. Is it possible to re-order the address book in the text messaging area to easily select the one address I usually send messages to? Right now I've got to either type the number in, or scroll halfway down my address list to get at it.

3. What are shortcuts?

I'm new to Motorola. One of the features that I've loved on my Nokia phones is the ability to have a 'family only' mode, usually at night, when I can have only designated numbers from my family get through: for everyone else the screen lights up but I never hear it. Is this possible with this Moto? I know that there is a distinctive ring function but I don't believe I can utilize that to silence out anyone else?

does anyone know if cingular is reducing the price of this phone anytime soon? i like it, but not for $200. i cant get it cheap through amazon, best buy or walmart(come black friday) because those are for people new to cingular and i am a long time customer.

I am currently looking for a New Phone! I was looking at the Treo 650 and am not sold on it... I am sold on the Black RazR! Has anyone had success with linking it with the Palm Tungsten T? Or any other Palms via Bluetooth?

I've heard that razr has been released more than once in new and improved versions. I just bought a new one off of Ebay that's locked to Cingular. How can I tell if I'm getting the newer model? I've heard the first model had lots of problems?? It's a high rated phone on CNET and I've wanted one for a long time. Does anyone know what I should check for?

I really need to get a new phone, but am concerned about the e815. I have posted before, but did not receive many responses. I now went to look at the phones up and coming and see a "pink/magenta " version of the v3c. Does anyone have knowledge of pricing , availability and how good this phone might be (especially compared to the e815)? I am VERY concerned about the echo problem with the e815 and someone had mentioned that if you have the e815 and are talking to someone with the e815, the quality of the call is terrible. Is that true as well?

First issue is that the black frame around the external screen has some discoloration around it. It does not effect the operation whatsoever, but it looks like moisture may have gotten under the outer edges of the glass (plastic?) screen and the black part underneath is kind of blotchy. Any way to fix it? Does anybody know of anything like this happening to anyone else?


Second issue:
I had not used the camera for a while and now when I fire it up it looks like it has some sort of digital effect turned on. It looks like a solarize effect. All the colors are way out of wack and there is a grainy-ness to all the pictures.

Is there a setting in the phone that can correct this or is it a phone problem? I looked through all the ...
