Motorola RAZR V3

On my black RAZR that I just got via Express Repair from Cingular 🙄 the Voice button that's used to voice dial, voice memo etc. has a split in the middle, making it identical to the up/down volume keys. On my other RAZRs, the button was just one piece.. anyone else have this or is mine just a freak

I'm thinking of buying this phone, but got some questions first.

How's its voice and reception quality? (I believe the phone's purpose is making calls)
Is it too fragile?
Does it have the vibrate + ring selection (I've heard many Motorola's don't have this common feature, and I need it)?
How many pics can I store (approx.)?
Are the standard ring tones good enough? Or are they choppy?
What about MP3 ringtones? How do I get those? Is it downloaded by a file from the computer (over USB) or do you have to download it from a phone number?
What about MIDI ringtones? Does it have a sort of program to compose my own?
What comes in the box? I need the car charger, but Motorola doesn't seem to sell it online.

How durable is this phone? Do you like this phone, or is it just "ok?" If I am hired by Cingular I think I may get this phone. I like the huge color screen on it. Plus it is a big phone even though it is thin. What all can you tell me about this phone? Thank you very kindly.

I just got a new razr v3 from tmobile, and every time i open it it makes a squeaking noise. It doesnt happen when i close it.. anyone know how to fix this or what i should do. Thanks

Since nobody stepped up to help us, I did a little googling. As long as you have a BT PC, you're all set, otherwise, you need a USB cable.

Why do people still think phones are free? Nothing is free in this society. If the phone was really free then why do the salemen ask you to sign up for a one or two year contract.

If the phone was really free, then tell the saleman, give me the phone for free, with no contract! I thought it was FREE! Of course, they won't give it to you. They will slap you before they give it to you for FREE!

Disappointed that I cracked the outside screen on the phone within the first month. Found a replacement LCD lens on Ebay. Looks like you just pry out the broken bits and stick the new lens in.
Anybody know if it is as easy as that? or of other suggestions for a fix?

i bought MPT for my black razr and i have like 15 ringtones downloaded to my phone that i made off of songs but the quality of them isnt very good. the ringtones that i bought off of Cingular's website sound crystal clear. but the ones i made have a fuzzyness in the background that makes them not sound as good. i used the encoder and audacity, but is there anyway to have created ringtones sound just as good as the ones you pay for....thanks

If you every look at the specs. here, you will see that the Razr v3 suppose to get 10 days in standby mode! Ture or false? What's else the most days you every got?

What is the best price people are finding on a RAZR right now (september 05)? I would like to switch to Cingular and get one, but I'm still surprised it's nearly $200.

Any advice to get a lower price from my local Cingular store?

Hi I'm new here so maybe someone can help. I'm able to make my own wallpapers for my phone, but everytime i send a pic to my phone and view it as a wallpaper is comes out in low-quality from how I sent it.

The dimensions I use are 176(w) x 220(h)

So I have a couple of question:

-What is the BEST file type to save it in (jpg, gif, bmp, png, etc)??

-What are the BEST dimensions to save the pic in??

I would really like the wallpapers to look high quality. So if someone can help that would be awesome 🙂 🤭

Can any one tell me if I can connect for my DUN with Bluetooth through a RAZR? I need to buy a new phone within a day or two and I would like to get the RAZR if I can use the full Bluetooth features.

Does an "unlocked" RAZR allow the DUN to fully function? Thank you for your help.

Gonna list my slightly used but in MINT condition RAZR on Ebay in the next few days. Comes with Krusell leather case. Not going to "give" it away but would like a fair price if anyone is interested. I do paypal only, for yours and my protection.
