Motorola SLVR L7
EXCLUSIVE NEWS: SLVR changes
Moto's been tweaking the SLVR, and some things have changed:
- It's not the SLVR V8 anymore - it's the SLVR L7. đ
- EDGE has been dropped - it's just GPRS now. âšī¸
- It's now quad-band instead of tri-band. đ
- The front face is now a solid bronze color instead of black around the display and a silver keypad.
- The keypad design has been streamlined a bit, so that 1-2-3 are all on the same "row", instead of 1-5-3 like before.

The moto product preview page shows it was renamed to the L8, not the L7. Did they rename it again?

Yes. It was the L8 for about a day, until they realized "L8" sounds like an abbreviation for "late", so it became the L7. They're still updating all the pages; the decision to change the name was made just a few days ago.

đ¤Ŗ I know Cingular customers are gonna be pissed, that EDGE was taken out. I hope they don't touch the EDGE that is on the T-Mobile exclusive PEBL. It is exclusive right? I keep hearing that it is goin to be, just like the SLVR will be an exlcusive phone to Cingular.
